AT TEN O'CLOCK the next morning, Daniel and Miguel walked out of Daniel's apartment to meet Mr. Miyagi. Daniel was still trying his hardest to convince Miguel to come with them to Cobra Kai, but Miguel refused. The only reason he was going with them was to get a ride back to Ali's house. He didn't want to step foot in Cobra Kai and risk stirring things up more than he already had. Mr. Miyagi's truck was small, so the three of them really had to squeeze themselves in to fit. Miguel couldn't help but feel panicked when Mr. Miyagi let Daniel drive especially since he didn't know how. He had gotten off to a rocky start, but then somehow managed to get the hang of it. He still had no idea what he was feeling, but Miguel didn't feel like he was going to die anymore.

Daniel was adamant about going to Cobra Kai first. Miguel tried to get him to agree to taking him back to Ali's first, but Daniel didn't want to. He was determined to settle this feud between him and Johnny once and for all. Miguel waited in the car as they walked in. However, he was impatient. Very, very impatient. For a second, Miguel considered getting out of the truck and taking a peek through the windows to see what was taking them so long, but he didn't. He didn't want to risk Johnny or any of his other buddies seeing him. So, he just waited in the truck and watched the other cars drive by. He felt relieved when he saw Daniel and Mr. Miyagi walking out of Cobra Kai.

"So, how'd it go?" Miguel asked when the two of them entered the car and stopped their conversation.

"Good news is they're going to leave me alone," Daniel responded. "Bad news is Mr. Miyagi wants me to fight in the All Valley Tournament."

"The All Valley?" Miguel asked, pretending not to know. "But you don't know karate."

Even though he already knew that Daniel ended up winning the tournament, he knew that he couldn't tell him that or give him any reason to believe that he knew. He just had to act like he had no idea that Daniel would end up becoming a good fighter, but it didn't hurt to give him a little encouragement and that's exactly what he did. He told Daniel that he believed he could do it to which Mr. Miyagi made a remark about how Daniel should be more optimistic and believe in himself more like Miguel did.

Mr. Miyagi dropped Miguel off at Ali's house before he took Daniel to his house to start training. Miguel didn't mention that fact that it was Ali's house. Daniel was already convinced there was something going on between Miguel and Ali no matter how many times he assured him there wasn't. Miguel just couldn't seem to convince him and if he knew that he was staying at Ali's, it definitely wouldn't help.

When he walked into the house, Ali immediately began questioning him about what happened after the dance. Miguel told her everything about Mr. Miyagi and Ali listened to him talk like it was the most fascinating story she had ever heard. He mentioned that Johnny and his Cobra Kai buddies would be leaving Daniel alone for the time being, but left it at that and didn't say anything further. He also left out the fact that he would be joining the tournament. It wasn't until he went to bed that night that he wished he would have told her. If he had, then it would make her start to worry about Daniel even more and possibly push her more into his direction.

The next morning, Miguel had some explaining to Daniel to do. Miguel didn't seem him for most of the morning. It wasn't until later in the afternoon that he saw him as he stood with Ali's friends and waited for her. He was about to walk up to Daniel at his locker, but then he saw Ali walk up to him so he didn't want to interrupt. But then, Ali saw how banged up Daniel was and her smiley expression quickly changed. She started storming off, a determined look on her face. Daniel quickly went after her.

"No, relax, everything's been taken care of," Daniel said, stepping in front of Ali.

"Hey, uh, what's going on?" Miguel asked.
