THE ONLY THING ON Miguel's mind when he woke up the next morning was talking to Johnny. He had practically jumped out of his bed and quickly rushed to get dressed. Luckily, it was the weekend, so he didn't have school to worry about. Before he went to sleep the night before, Miguel planned out everything he wanted to say and how he was going to explain everything. He assumed that since Daniel had recognized him, Johnny would too. It only made sense. But the one thing he hadn't factored into the equation was how he was going to explain to his mother why it was so urgent that he speak to Johnny.

Miguel had rushed out of his room, awkwardly hopping on one foot as he tried to put his shoes on. His mother was in the kitchen making breakfast. She was still wearing her scrubs as she had just got home after working a late shift at the hospital. Being in such a rush, Miguel hadn't even realized that she was there until he heard her voice ring out as he put his hand on the doorknob to open the front door.

"Hey Miggy," she said. "What's the hurry? Sit down, eat something."

Miguel sighed and walked to the small dining room table. He took a seat, knowing that his mother was not going to accept no for an answer. Miguel anxiously bounced his leg up and down as she placed a plate of food in front of him. She took a seat next to him and furrowed her eyebrows together.

"Everything okay?" she asked.

Miguel nodded his head. "Yeah, I just really need to speak to Sensei. It's super important."

"Sensei?" she asked.

"Yeah, Sensei Lawrence," Miguel responded as if it were obvious.

"You're still doing karate?" Carmen asked. "Miggy, I thought we talked about this."

"Yeah," Miguel said, his eyebrows knitted together in confusion. "Yeah, um, we did."

Miguel looked at her with a confused expression. That could only mean one thing. In this timeline, she had never come around to the idea of him doing karate and was still against it. Miguel assumed that he had continued to do it behind her back.

"Um..." Miguel said, trying to think of an answer. "I thought...I thought I told you that I was still taking lessons."

Carmen sighed, but didn't respond. She looked down at her food with a disappointed look on her face. Miguel continued to eat his food before asking his mother if she would drive him to Cobra Kai so that he could speak to Johnny. As much as she disapproved, she actually agreed. The car ride had been awkward as his mother spent the entire time telling him about how much she thought him continuing to do karate was a bad idea. Miguel just listened to her talk, nodding his head as she spoke.

After what seemed like forever, they arrived at Cobra Kai. Miguel couldn't wait to get out of the car. He waved at his mom as she drove away and then opened the door. He walked in, and so far, everything looked exactly the same. Miguel peered his head into the office. It seemed empty and there didn't appear to be anyone inside. But the door was open and all the lights were on, so someone had to be there. Miguel walked into the backroom, hoping that he would see Johnny, but instead, he found someone else. They were repeatedly punching the punching bag.

"Miguel, hey, what are you doing here? There's no practice today," the person said, holding the punching bag in their hands.

"Robby?" Miguel said. "What are you doing here?"

Robby chuckled and walked towards him. "Just getting some extra practice in. You here to do the same?"

Miguel shook his head. He wasn't entirely sure what to say. He didn't know what his dynamic with Robby was like in this timeline. Judging by how civil Robby seemed to be, he didn't think that they were enemies. It was almost like they were...friends?
