I was inna living room watching a movie until lani called me.
"Hayye" i said answering the phone.
"Turn onna news right now" she said.
I picked up the remote and turn on fox 13.
"Live from the scene right now. There was a body found dead in a alley" the news reporter said.
"The suspect was identified as 35 year old Roderick evanson. He reportedly strangled and shot the victim 4 times in the stomach before taking his own life. The police found him dead in the car" the news reporter said.
"The victim was identified as 19 year old tamina smith" the news reporter said.
I froze from shock.
It didn't feel real.
Even after all the problems we had i still had love for her.
-Flashback-
Me and armani were sitting on the swings waiting for the new girl from yesterday.
"James hit my mom again" armani said.
"Im sorry" i said.
"Its okay" she said.
Mina walked up to us and sat down.
"What happened to your wrist" i asked grabbing her arm.
"Nothing" mina said pushing my hand off.
"Did he do it again" mani asked.
Mina nodded her head as tears started flowing down her face.
Me and mani got off the swing and hugged her.
Minas dad had been raping her since she was 4.
"Its okay" mani said holding her.

"Morgan hello do you hear me" lani said still on the phone.
"Yea I'll call you back" i said before hanging up.
I called mani and the phone immediately went to voicemail.
