Bella POV

I didn't sleep that night, neither did Ebony, which was surprising. The news was delivered to the whole of Gryffindor a few moments after I went down to the common room. The Weasley's all went white and immediately Percy started to mutter things. Fred and George went pale and went up to their room. They didn't come down, and I didn't go up. I sat in bed while Ebony studied some of the advanced charms and potions. Lavender and Parvati didn't sleep either, Lavender was writing home and Parvati was drawing something in a book. It was almost midnight when someone finally spoke,

"I wonder if they've rescued Ginny yet?" it was Lavender's annoying voice, everyone stopped what they were doing, the subject was still touchy,

"Maybe," Ebony shrugged, "Best to keep your mind off it until we get any news," we all nodded and then went back to doing the things we were doing before.

"I'm going down to the common room," Parvati said after a while, "I heard some others talking about waiting for news down there," she turned to say something to Ebony, took one look at her stern expression and turned to Lavender, "Coming, Lavender?"

"Yep," Lavender got up and left with Parvati.

"Are you alright?" Ebony asked once they had left and she had locked the door,

"I guess," I shrugged, "If they close the school we'll have to go back to the Malfoy's early," she nodded, closing her book and getting off her bed. She started to pace, "I'm going to write to Mother," she said finally,

"To Mother?" I sighed, "It's not as if she's going to get it, or be able to do anything,"

"I know," she hummed, "But it makes me feel better," she immediately sat down and began to write.

After a few moments of silence, she folded the letter up, stuffed it into an envelope and opened the window. She whistled a few times and soon Achilles was sitting on the window sill. She handed him the letter and whispered a few words I couldn't hear, patted him on the head and he was off.

"What did you write?" I questioned,

"I just told her about the current situation," she shrugged,

"You didn't tell her about Lucius, did you?" I said urgently,

"No," she rolled her eyes, "Just about school," I nodded and lay back.

"I want to go home," I sighed,

"What? Malfoy Manor?" Ebony scoffed.

"No," I said, indignantly, "A place where it is just you and me, Mother and Father," she nodded, looking down at her feet, "I'm going to miss the twins," I sighed,

"We can still see them," she replied,

"I doubt it," I shrugged, "If we get sent home then Lucius will probably turn you, me and Ally into proper young ladies and when we're old enough, he'll marry us off to the first pureblood that looks our way," Ebony laughed slightly, "What?"

"I cannot imagine Bella Melania Lestrange being a proper young lady," she giggled,

"Oh shut up," I sighed, throwing a pillow at her. She caught it and threw it right back, hitting me in the face. I gasped and stood up, a pillow in each hand. I threw them at her and she stumbled over, trying to get away. We continued to have a pillow fight for the next 30 minutes until we were both tired out.

Pillows were strewn everywhere and we had managed to break one of Lavender's ugly porcelain dolls, and fixed it again with magic. The sun was starting to come up and we were laying on the floor, surrounded by pillows, panting and puffing.
