To become a member, which we typically call our sunflowers, you have to be following us and take part in one active project. For these reasons, we mainly only count our book club members-for all of our book clubs-as our members, since they're the long term ones. Awards participants and review/edit receivers are technically members, but they aren't members for more than a few months max, after the awards are over or the review/edit is received.

What's the perk of being a member?

Well, the majority of the people in our community are members, so you can get to know fellow members and grow your writing connections, our main goal in creating a community.

If you are a member of one of our book clubs, share your accomplishments with us! Finished a book? Won an award? Reach out to us, and we'll shout you out in that book club. We allow one promotion per person each month, but we're more than happy to do it.

We also hope that we can help you with your books in any way. Ask for a review or edit, join a book club! We're hoping we'll be able to help you somehow in your writing journey.

Editors are in a bit of a limbo role, where they get more perks than an average member but they aren't considered an admin

Editors are in a bit of a limbo role, where they get more perks than an average member but they aren't considered an admin.

To become an editor, PM us! You'll take part in Sunflower Editing Center, described in a later chapter of this book, where we post a profile on you with your terms and conditions before you begin accepting books to edit. Depending on the book, it may take a while to edit, so all we really ask is you do your best to stay on track and update the editing center admin with your progress. When you're done, you send us your overall editing notes, which the editing center admin publishes in our editing center book. Editing experience is required.

The perks are completely up to you! You'll receive a follow from us, but otherwise you decide your payment for your edits.

Reviewers, like editors, are in the limbo role of being above an average member but not quite admin status.

In order to be a reviewer, you do have to have reviewing experience to provide for the reviews admin, who will then send you a form to fill out and post a profile in Sunflower Reviews about your terms and conditions for reviewing for you to start accepting reviews. We do ask for one review every two weeks if at all possible, and you do have to update the reviews admin occasionally on your progress. PM us if interested.

Just like editors, the perks are completely up to you! We will follow you for being a reviewer, but all other perks depend on what you ask for payment from requesters.

That's it on "regular" members! For more information on admins, continue onto the next chapter.
