I didn't reread this and edit it.

I just wanted to get this out as quickly as possible and my eyes are burning lol. I'm so sleepy Lolol.

Anyway, if you don't want to read something that might have typos or grammar mistakes, wait a bit before reading and I'll repost with a fully edited version when I wake up lol.

(I've edited this now)

On a beautiful spring day, the groups of cherry blossom trees lining the courtyard framed a beautiful entrance.

Behind the intricately wired steel gates, petals from the trees blew and danced with the wind. A large and lustrous school laid in the backdrop. The architecture seemed to have been constructed by master craftsmen, and multiple buildings of the same degree of quality were connected to the main one.

This was the Callione Magic Academy.

The main setting for the otome game, "Rose's Court of Fortune."

Located in the main capital of the country, it was named after the city it's resided.

There were buildings for dorming, though most nobles that had estates close to the capital would often commute. Albeit dormitories, the majority of students were nobles so their living spaces were usually accommodated to their status.

However, even though the school was built mostly for children of nobility to hone their magic and socialize, it is open to anyone that exhibits magic powers. For this reason, there are a few commoner students that are allowed to attend the school on a scholarship status. Even so, there had been many accounts of student hierarchies forming, due to prejudice and class disparity.

There have only been a few commoners that have successfully graduated from Callione Academy, and even fewer that were able to make a name for themselves.

It only went to prove again that no matter how strong someone was, if their background wasn't able to help back them up, they would be ignored and tossed to the curbside.

Due to this, most commoners, that are able to exhibit magical powers, try to find a sponsor.

A sponsor is a noble that will be willing to support a promising commoner, so they will have a backer of sorts. If the noble is high ranking, just telling others their name could help them bridge the gap. If the noble is lower on the ranking, they usually opt to adopt the child to give them a "noble's title."

With a sponsor, a commoner will not have to worry about being overlooked when it came to opportunities. And, if they got lucky, they would escape being harassed by elitist nobles, due to their "commoner blood."

It was for this reason that the heroine of the original game was adopted by a baron, right before entering the academy.

After living with her mother for many years, on her 16th birthday, her mother died from her long running illness. It was only after she had cried for the whole night before she first exhibited light magic, as she had felt like the darkness in the room was overtaking her mind.

And, the first person to come across and discover the heroine was a man named Adrianos Babis Markiades.

Baron Markiades was not a man that was just a generous soul. He was a shrewd individual that was able to raise his house's name from a baronet to a baron, all in one generation. An ambitious man, he was willing to take large risks to better his position in society.

Despite being a baron, he was an excellent business man, as well as efficient with handling land and people. Although he had not married, despite being in his 30s, nobody would criticize him for it. With a certain charisma to him, he was a great man with the only setback of a low noble title.
