What it is That Came Before

Izuku wandered through the dark. This was a far more dangerous place than any trial. He'd already had to hide from plenty of monstrosities, several of which were impossible to describe, truly in line with the Entity itself. Several of those he'd rather forget, in all honesty, but he was fortunate enough that they weren't actively looking for him. And so, he continued through the moonlit night. Wary of everything, he wandered until as the ground gradually shifted to a more urban environment. Street lamps lit through the night, but Izuku knew this was not Haddonfield. Walking quickly, he found the center of this new realm. A deteriorated, but still standing building. Faded letters were hard to make out, but he could still understand them. They were in English, with a cartoon character looming over it threateningly. It was a bear with sharp teeth, but still comical in appearance. With his better grasp of English, he read the sign aloud.

"Fazbear Fright?" He looked around, before deciding that this structure would be good for a rest stop. He'd rested in places far worse than this during his journey, and he'd need every break he can get.

Entering through the front door, I carefully look around, making sure that the place is empty. I hear nothing but static and flickering lights. This was meant to be a horror attraction.

As I continued to walk, I noticed the props, all large animal themed decorations. There were consistent characters that could be seen. A Fox. A Chicken. A Bunny... and finally, a Bear. The children's drawings were replicated by the Entity... but the writing was not. It was all scribbles and incoherent gibberish. As I continued down the hall, I couldn't get the unsettling feeling of unease to go away. Feeling as if there was something watching me, I checked every room before entering... and found my way to a security office at the other end of the place.

It was the most intact place within the building, and so, I quietly curled up underneath the desk

It was the most intact place within the building, and so, I quietly curled up underneath the desk. In the unlikely event that something did arrive, it was unlikely they'd look down there. That and if the building collapsed, unlikely that it was due to the Entity, then it would be safer than anywhere else.

As he was about to close his eyes, the boy heard a noise. It came from the way he had come. It wasn't anything he'd heard before. The Emissaries all had their own noises, the Killers had the Terror Radius... but this was different. It was a groaning noise. Mechanics whirred quietly, while an unnatural force made its way through this place. However, it seemed to not be approaching his position, instead heading downstairs. There's a basement here... Quickly, he approached the entrance cautiously. He was a few feet from it when Izuku accidentally kicked something. That something being the head of that chicken character. It was used as a lighting prop on the ground. He heard the mechanics whir and go into overtime, rushing towards the noise. Quietly hiding, the greenette was able to get out of sight just in time as a hulking machine, a decaying golden rabbit arrived.

It stood far taller than any other killer he'd seen, with the exception of Nemesis and Pyramid Head, although the ears did come close. The right one was missing half of it, and the rest of the suit was just as tattered. It quickly turned in erratic, simple movements. Triangulating its prey like a barn owl, it then decided to head towards the entrance...

Seeing his chance, Izuku enters the basement. He can hear sounds of pain and ragged breathing, so there is someone here. As soon as he got downstairs... Izuku gasped in surprise. He knew the man, especially considering his letter from before.

"Henry?"

The old man looked up, and was shocked to see him. Glancing at the basement entrance, he hissed at the boy. "Izuku... what are you doing here, you have to go!"

The greenette rapidly explained, "I got here by accident. I was looking for Benedict Baker..."
Relief etched his face once he realized that he wasn't trying to rescue him. That fact alone made Izuku worry. "We'll you're in the right area, but you have to go before William gets back!"
"I can't just leave you here!"
"You can, and you will. Izuku..." He paused, choosing what he said carefully. "You are the only one who can stop the Entity. That's why you were invited to that masquerade. And why they waited until then to take me! Keep the auris safe, and get to Benedict Baker! Leave before..." The sound of mechanics quickly approached. Henry hissed to him, "Hide. Now."

Izuku quickly walked to the hidden area next to the stairs. It was just in time too, as the rabbit machine reappeared.

And this time, it spoke. It's voice was rough, and tinged with static. "So, now that the distraction's taken care of... what should I do to you next...? Don't worry, you won't die..." It laughed. Izuku quietly stepped around, getting to the stairs, and leaving. There was nothing he could do for his mentor, who seemed resigned to his fate... but then a step creaked, and that caught the rabbit's attention again. Whirling around, it aggressively strode to the stairs. Izuku knew that he'd be caught as soon as it got there, so he ran. It was the only thing he could do. The only option. It laughed as it followed. "So, there was someone there! Oh, how Henry will love seeing another death on his hands!"

Izuku ignored that, and went towards the main exit, going through the hall, away from the basement, turning right, and he was going to turn right again when he realized that he would need to confuse it in order to get away. So, the greenette went to the left instead. Walking now as to create less noise, Izuku slowly hid in the shadows. It looked around as soon as it got to the junction. It seemed to look at something in the air, before hissing with annoyance and heading towards the first door.

Staying quiet, the greenette quietly navigated back to the office, using the ventilation system to quickly bypass certain rooms and hide as the robot did a sweep of everywhere in the place, before shrugging and heading back down to the basement. I'm sorry, Henry... Izuku took that chance to get out.

Wesker was annoyed. His... "companion" wasn't human, and couldn't communicate its findings in an efficient manner. Besides that, it held a lot of inefficient methods for movement. Sure, it was as fast as him when running at a "normal human" speed, but it wasn't fast enough. However, when it traveled between lockers... that's when the fun began. Unfortunately, most of this place was not made from lockers. Just as he was about to say something to it about where to head next, a crow alighted near them. It was uncommon to see a crow approach a killer. The two being stopped when it opened its beak, and inhuman whispers floated over to them. Smiling, Wesker rushed in a new direction, followed by the Dredge... There was a lead, and acting on that would be efficient.
