I slowly approach Kaworu with a polite smile, which he does same in return."ive been waiting for you Shinji Ikari" ... (au:QUE BRO I GOT THE CHILLZ AGAIN INNIT) "H-hey kaworu, u wanted to talk me, yes?" i look up at him, hes gotten closer to me without movement "I want to take you somewhere else" he says blankly. Grabbing my hand and leading me to wherever hes taking me to ,hardly questioning this, oh my days, hes holding my hand, this is gay, gay, gay, gay, NO-, im just overthinking, he means this in a friendly way, Yeah..

Kaworu's pov (FINALLY)

I have to help Shinji, I have to let him know he's worth everything. I don't like the way he looks down on himself, im not going to let him treat himself like that anymore, ill show him just how much he's worth, and mabye i can finally save him from himself. Shinji Ikari will be mine. Ill make sure he no longer mistreat himself, ill devote my life to making sure ikari knows his worth, i wont fail.

Im not sure where im actually taking him, but theres not much i can work with at a park. I should have told him to meet me somewhere else, but where though? as im aimlessly walking around with shinji in hand, i see a small café ahead. Thats where i need to go, i have to talk to him first, i have to get closer to him, i wont fail.

"Shinji, we're going in here ,ok? i say pointing at the building, not giving him a choice really. He doesn't have a choice either way, I will make him happy and save him from himself, i wont fail. "A cafe?" i hear from behind me, i turn to shinji to see him stood cluelessly and flustered, im struggling to read him. I know a cafe is a random choice but he is flustered? Has he caught onto what im doing, does he know im technically pulling him into a date? either way is success. i couldn't just ask him on a date its too much, this will do for now, i promise ill take u somewhere special one day Shinji Ikari.

I eagerly drag him once again, into the café without responding to his way over due confusion, i look at the menu hardly knowing what any of these items are, these names mean nothing. "What do u want, ill get you it." i reassure shinji looking horrified by the prices, seeing as he just bought a load of junk from a local store. "n-n-no ill pay" he says trembling. is he actually mad, he knows he cant pay. "No ikari, im going to buy you whatever you want, so tell me what would u like" I saw with a smile. Hes tempted, but tries to be polite and refuse. Its our turn to order, i order us both a hot choclate, not knowing what he really wanted, but it was too late anyways, im not waiting any longer to finally talk to him.

We're sat in a booth, by the window. I can tell its already becoming late, the sun is setting. so much time had gone by, i hadnt even had a chance to have a proper conversation with him, time truly is the cruellest thing, but that doesnt matter now, hes here.

AU: so idrk how to set chapter lengths which do u prefer? None of these rlly change the length of the entire story just not sure how to set things out so lmk

2: more chapter but shorter chapters
