Date on Earth: Thursday, October 5th

Bright lights blinded me as my eyes flickered open. I had a pulsing headache and tried to get up, only to find my hands and feet bound to whatever contraption I was on.

I jerked my limbs ferociously to loosen up the ties, but no matter how much I struggled, the painful ties wouldn't budge.

A loud slam came from behind me. Immediately I stopped and tensed up.

"You are awake," the cold thick-accented voice of General McFrosty said. I strained my neck to see where he was standing.

"It is about time." Footsteps echoed and soon the general was hovering above me, his canines shimmering in the light.

"If you didn't knock me out, then you wouldn't have had to worry about that,' I retorted, attempting to hide how uncomfortable it was with him standing over me.

"You are correct," he agreed. "But if you were not unconscious, you would have escaped, and my hard work would be for nothing."

I attempted to shrug. "True."

The general did another hideous smile(which was seriously becoming annoying) before tilting his head at me. "Your position seems to bring you discomfort. Let's fix that, shall we?"

He disappeared from my vision for a second, pressing what one could assume was a button. I let out a small peep when the bed started to flip over, moving until I was practically standing.

Whatever was used to bind my hands and feet rubbed against my skin, even more so in the new position.

"Much more comfortable, thanks," I mumbled sarcastically.

I gazed around the room, taking advantage of the better view. In front of me was a control panel that curved around a window. A screen with two blinking green dots sat above it and behind it was-

"Stars." Suddenly it became hard to swallow. "We're in space. Holy crap, we're in space!"

General Who-Cares watched me with an amused expression. "Yes, young child. You are off of your pretty planet. I hope you find your experience delightful."

I put all my hate and anger into my glare, imagining lasers shooting from my eyes. For the first time I noticed a dressing wrapped around the alien's chest. Even with his efforts, you could see a touch of pain in his cold expression.

Good.

I kept my chin up as he called out something in a weird language. A second later, another alien came bursting through the door, panting.

This alien looked younger, slightly shorter than the general. It had the same gray skin and piercing purple eyes, but its black hair was longer and parted in the middle. It also lacked most of the tattoos the general had; the only one was a triangle positioned on its forehead, between its eyes.

"This is my assistant, Lyzel," General I-Forgot-His-Name told me, gesturing to the alien boy. "He is one of the smartest Axones on Nibura, and is a vital part of my plan."

"Is your plan to bore me to death? 'Cause it's working."

He didn't respond and instead pointed to the screen on the control panel. "Do you see those two green dots?" He waited until I nodded. "Those are your friends. Do you want to know how we track them?"

"Not really."

The general ignored me. "The Jh'ai have a very distinct energy they radiate. It is impossible for such power not to.

"My assistant created this invention that we can track the Jh'ai while it is in its host." I scrunched up my nose at that. Asher was right. It really does sound like a parasite.
