The short walk home from Fuckshits house was enough to get her nervous. She was relieved when she saw that the house was dark. Olivia had been through enough and didn't want to face her parents. When she got home, she saw a note on the kitchen counter. "At Gina's tonight. Love, mom." She could tell that her mother had been trying harder to... be a parent, since the fight between Olivia and her dad.

She poured herself a glass of water before going down the hallway into her room. The dress she had been wearing were quickly replaced with sweatpants and a t-shirt, which happened to be one she had borrowed from Ryder. Olivia took a sip of her water and then sat down on her unmade bed.

A lot of thoughts in her mind was begging for attention and they were all about him. He had told him he wanted her but just as her, he was scared of what would happen if they decided that they weren't just best friends anymore. Even if they couldn't be together in the end, she would be happy about the fact that he had been a part of her life for so long. She didn't want to let her mind race. Whatever happened... it would happen and there was nothing she could do to change it.

Feeling his lips against hers had been bittersweet. It was just as amazing as she had thought it to be but it came with a lot of uncertainty. She still couldn't believe that he had been thinking about her too. It almost felt too good to be true. Olivia had convinced herself that it had actually happened and that she hadn't made it all up in her head.

She laid down and let her feet dangle over the edge of the bed. Her eyes started feeling dry and tired and she couldn't help but to close them. It didn't take long until it was too hard to fight the tiredness and she fell asleep.

When she woke up she had no idea what time it was or how long she had been sleeping. She had woken up by the sound of knocking on her window and she sat up to look. There he was. Her stomach started twisting and turning as she got up to open the window so he could get in.

"I didn't know if your parents were home..." Ryder said as he climbed through the window. She moved across the room to sit down on her bed once again. She looked down and stayed quiet. Olivia had been the one to confess her feelings so now it was his time to talk. He walked slowly towards her and sat down next to her. His hand reached for hers and he exhaled slowly.

"I never thought you could look at me in any other way then your dorky best friend." By the tone of his voice she could tell that he was nervous. Ryder squeezed her hand softly and she looked up at him.

"You're so much more than that." She replied and one of his hands reached up to cup her cheek. Slowly he leaned closer and tension was building again. The kiss was sweet and soft, a reassurance that he meant what he was saying.

"I hated to see you with Amber." Olivia confessed to him, still staying close.

"What did you think I thought when I heard that they were setting you up with Nico?" Ryder was far from confident and Nico seemed to have loads of it. He was charming and knew how to talk to girls.

"I only did it because I thought it would keep my mind off you."

"Did it work?"

Instead of speaking, Olivia just shook her head. It didn't matter how much she tried, she couldn't stop thinking about him. Or maybe she just didn't want to?

"Good." A smile then appeared on his lips and she couldn't help but to smile too.

"So this means..."

"That I can call you my mine now." He replied proudly, squeezing her hand that was still in his. Without noticing her smile widened even further.

"What do you think the boys will say?"

"I think they will be shocked but at the same time not?"

Olivia agreed, when they first became friends with the others, they were all convinced that Olivia and Ryder had been together at some point or that they had hooked up or something. Nothing had ever happened and that's what the two friends told the rest as well. It didn't really matter how they would react because no matter what they would be supportive.

"Yeah, you're probably right."

Even though he had said that he was scared about how things would turn out, he was still his normal calm self and that helped her relax. They could do it.

"Do you wanna stay tonight?"

"Yeah, I would love to."

"Because I think I need to sleep now, I'm still half drunk and really tired."

"I could tell... sleeping beauty when I knocked on your window." Ryder teased and she put his head down to lean against his shoulder.

"Do I need to remind you how much you snore? You're not a graceful sleeper either."

"Me, snoring? I can't even compete with you!" He grinned and Olivia looked up and acted offended.

She didn't know what got into her but she pressed her lips against him again and now it was her hands that cupped his cheeks. She had to take advantage of being able to kiss her best friend whenever she wanted now.

"What was that for?" He asked when she pulled back.

"Because I can." Olivia replied with a smirk when she looked at him.

When they cuddled up underneath the cover it felt different but a good kind of different. Olivia felt butterflies in her stomach when he pulled her closer to cuddle. His hand moved over her thigh and she moved up her leg to lay over his waist.

"Goodnight Ryder."

"Goodnight Liv." He whispered back and placed a soft kiss on her temple.
