Kids are mean

We are sitting down at a table in the paddock club the two rounds of qualifying is done and we are on the last one.

Jules is happily watching the drivers get into their car while watching from above the pits with the other kids.

you watch as Charles Leclerc come outs of the Ferrari garage and goes to get into his car.

Jules:"mommy look it's Charles Leclerc"
Athena: "Yes it is baby"

I say while walking over to him looking over at Charles trying not to get spotted.

Boy 1:"DADDY"
a boy beside Jules say while running over to the man as he picks him and kisses him

Man 1:"you excited for the race"

Boy 1:"Yeahh" the boy say laughing
Man 1: "how about you honey" then an woman comes out from behind him
Women 1:"Can't wait babe" she says while kissing him on the lips.

You look down at Jules to see that he is staring at the family with sad eyes.

Athena:"come on baby round three is about to start".

George Russell 5th ,Max verstappen 4th,Lando Norris in 3rd,Charles Leclerc in 2nd
And Lewis Hamilton in 1st for that start of round 3

6 minutes has passed since qualifying has started and so far max verstappen is in 1st.

Jules went back to the other kids and I'm talking to the other mums.

"SALUTE ATHENA" someone says from behind me I turn around to see my cousin Isabel.

Isabel is my cousin basically like my sister,but would definitely be that single rich,hot,crazy,fun aunt kind of sister

Athena: "stalking me much?"
I say taking a sip of my coffee

Isabel: "nope but I got gossip to tell you later,but where is Jules"

Athena:"over there with the-" I stop talking as I see 2 kids talking to Jules while he is crying Isabel also seeing it too.

I get up and walk over to the kids and pick Jules up cupping his head while he cry's into my shoulder
Athena: "baby what's wrong"

I whisper not wanting people to hear
Jules:"I-I want to go home momma...please" he sobs.

Isabel:Hey kids what did you say to make him upset"
She says trying not to sound angry but clearly is which caught the attention of Maria (the mother) as they walk over

Maria: "Mayá,Sebastian what did you say to this young boy" she saying is her really strong Colombian accent looking at Jules

Sebastian: "momma he's a wiredo why doesn't he have a father like we do"
Maya: "Or a big house with a puppy"
She says flashing her angelic eyes and a devilish smile

I see máya which makes my blood boil.

"kids some people grow up differently and that's none of our business now say sorry to Jules" she whispers to her kids

"Sorry.." the kids say looking at the ground

Maria:"sorry about that,I never meant this to happen"
Maria apologies on her kids behalf.

"Don't let it happen again come on Athena" Isabel says sounding more pissed then I am.

she grabs my hand and walks out of the paddock club then all I can hear is loud cheers and people chanting Charles Leclerc guess he must have gotten first

We get back to my apartment and I carry Jules out from Isabel's Lamborghini and he fell asleep in my arms from the traffic.

Athena:"thank you Isabel"

Isabel:"No problem now,If I ever EVER hear that some shit hole kids-"

Athena:"fuck with your nephew you will sue and that you once fucked your lawyer so you have more power,okay I get it thanks"
I say finishing her sentence closing the door of the car with my elbow

I press the lift button on the floor I want to go to and step out into the hall of my apartment.

I sigh as I get my keys from my pocket and slowly open the door of my apartment

I walk into Jules bedroom and place him down on his bed.

I look at his face and it reminds me of him.
My once true love.
Once probably never again.
I hear people say he has a new girlfriend.
Of course.
He might have been the sunlight of my time but the sun always sets another time.

I kiss Jules little head and walk out into my room tears falling down my face, I collapse onto my bed and cry in my my soft pillow and sheets.

I pick up my phone and scroll through our old messages
