On Sunday morning, Aaru felt sick from all her crying the night before.

She sighs, before taking a headache pill and walking out.

Her mom looks at her, before walking over to hug her, "Baby, do you feel alright? You look sick."

"I'm fine amma. I took tablets.", Aaru smiles weakly.

"I'll make you some soup, go back to your room", her mom says before rushing to the kitchen.

Aaru walks back to her bedroom, sighing and sitting on the her bed.

Her parents weren't typical Indian parents. Her parents knew she studied well and maintained her grades. So they weren't worried about anything and let her go about her life with as much freedom as she liked. They trusted her enough to let her live happily.

The only thing that both she and her parents knew, was that how much ever freedom they gave her,  it would never bring her happiness. And the funny part was, her mom and dad both know about her feelings for Abhinav. But not once, have they said anything about it to her. If at all, her parents took care of her more and supported her every time she felt sad. And she was grateful for that.

Her mom walks into her room places the soup on the table, gives her a kiss on the forehead and walks out.

As Aaru slowly drinks her soup, her door clicks open and Abhi walks in.

"Abhi?", Aaru sputters surprised.

"Hey", he gives her a small smile.

"What are you doing here?", Aaru asks him suddenly wary.

"Why did you leave so early yesterday?", Abhi asks looking into her eyes.

"Because I was tired.", Aaru says, it was a half-truth. So basically, not a lie.

"Don't lie to me Aarushi", Abhi says glaring at her.

"Why would I lie to you? I am tired, very tired of a few particular things in life.", Aaru retorts.

"What things?", Abhi asks.

"Things I would like to keep personal.", Aaru says curtly.

"Between us?", Abhi asks hurt shining in his eyes.

"Abhi, what do you want?", Aaru asks suddenly feeling tired and weak.

"Aaru I know everything about you, and I can read you like an open book remember.", Abhi says.

Aaru smiles, a sad smile, "Your wrong."

"What?", Abhi asks frowning.

"I am very good at lying, you know.", Aaru says.

"What? But you don't lie.", Abhi asks confused.

"Yeah I don't, except in your case", Aaru says.

"What does that mean?", Abhi asks angrily looking into her eyes as he pulls her close. His phone rings again making him sigh in annoyance.

"Kavya right? Go ahead and take the call. But don't do it here.", Aaru says turning away.

"Aaru, it's as if I don't know you.", Abhi mumbles sadly, his heart constricting.

"People change, especially when they love someone who doesn't love them back", Aaru whispers back, only to find her door wide open and Abhi nowhere to be seen.

"Maybe it's better this way", Aaru mumbles placing her hand on her heart.

A new week started, and school was going busy. Which automatically meant, tuition was hectic. Soumya Ma'am started teaching important chapters, and she was strict enough not to allow any distractions in class.
