Gabriel left to the playground to find the girls. He didn't even invite me to come with him, which he usually would. He left without a word to me. The whole time he had ignored me. I guess this is it. He found someone else and I have been dumped again.
I felt tears come to eyes so I bowed my head trying to hide them, blinking it away before it fell.
A hand came to rest on mine and I looked up. Sophie was looking at me with a sad smile.
"You know we should go out too. How about clubbing. I could use a night off, get sexy and go find myself some delicious man just for tonight." She said winking at me.
My jaw dropped as I stared at her. What she was suggesting was scandalous. But what was even weirder was that I am intrigued by the idea. I smiled through my tears.
Now I love her completely. She did not make me uncomfortable by trying to be sympathetic but instead gave me the support that I really needed to be strong and prevent myself from humiliation all over again.
"I would like that, but I don't have any clothes for clubbing, with me, here." I told her.
"It's alright,"she said waving her hand carelessly, "I got plenty for both of us. And if you don't like them we could always go shopping." She told me with a wide grin.
And that's exactly what we did. She did indeed have a lot of sexy clothes in her wardrobe, but they weren't fitting me, so we both went shopping and bought, not just the outfit, but shoes and accessories.
I needed a confidence boost and going all out was the best way to get it.
Evening came and I spent some alone time with the girls. Gabriel was probably getting ready for his date. I was glad to have time alone with then. Gabriel had been with them the whole day and I felt guilty for spending the day just for me.
As I stepped out of the bedroom I saw Gabriel going down the stairs. I stayed still and silent, beside the door so he wouldn't know I was there.
