*No One's Pov*

Hank had agreed to pick up Kayla in the morning for some trip that he was planning. He stayed up all night, trying to get a location on Christopher and work out if there was a pattern in the way he travelled. He came up with nothing but for now, he had a location or at least a 10 mile radius of a location.

Hank turned up at Kayla's house at around 7am and knocked on her door as he scrolled on his phone, looking for his sat nav app.

Hank carried on knocking as he swung back and forth on his heels, waiting for someone to answer the door.

When it finally swung open, Kayla was stood there with a grumpy expression, dressed in black jeans and a red top.

"I was getting dressed. You couldn't have have waited."

"I was beginning to think you weren't coming."

"Ha, you wish. Come on in." Said Kayla, stepping out of the way so Hank could come through the door.

All of a sudden, a tall, muscular man with tanned skin and black hair stepped out of the bedroom. Hank looked him up and down with a smirk before he pretended that he wasn't there.

"Hey, can you take these bags out and chcuk them in the bin on your way down?" Asked Niko.

"Yeah sure. Thanks again."

"Yeah, no problem."

"Next time, call me." Said Niko.

As Hank was driving, Kayla was humming to whatever tune was on in the background, clearly not knowing the lyrics very well.

"So-"

"Don't you dare." Warned Kayla.

"I wasn't going to."

"Yes, you were. One, Niko and I are friends and two, he walked out of the spare bedroom."

"Didn't ask."

"You were going to."

"Nope."

Hank kept looking at Kayla and she had started to notice from the corner of her eye. Hank was hesitant to ask her what had happened to her hand but also wanted to leave it.

"What happened?"

"Sorry?" Asked Kayla as she looked at him.

"Your hand. What happened?"

"Cut it while making dinner."

"You don't need to lie me anymore. I thought we trusted each other."

"Trust? You had me followed for a week."

"Yeah and I found out some good things."

"Oh did you now? Care to share."

"You own two apartments buildings. When you bought them, you got them all renovated so they'd be more modern. Each year, you make around 2 million dollars."

"Yeah, I do. How'd he even find that out?"

"He has his ways."

"Great. My private life is no longer private."

"Private? Your name is under the building's listing."

"I don't want to talk anymore."

After a while, Kayla got bored of humming and tapping her foot to the song, so she switched it off and turned to face Hank, who was driving.

"I haven't been on a road trip in a while."

"This isn't a road trip."

"Kind of is."
