Five days later, Peter, Charlie, Vaggie and Millie are backstage in the building of Pentagram City News, Peter has his camera with him ready to take pictures of Charlie talking to the newscast in the studio. Vaggie fixes Charlie's black bow tie while Millie straightens Charlie's hair, Millie had decided to take the job offer and is now living at the hotel with Charlie, Peter, Vaggie and Angel Dust (who keeps putting Charlie's hotel down by doing acts that are not appropriate to describe for a story that's rated PG-13).
Charlie is wearing a red tuxedo with black pants and black smart shoes, Vaggie finishes fixing Charlie's bow tie and puts both of her hands on her shoulders
Vaggie: Okay, you remember your lines?
Charlie inhales deeply and responds
Charlie: Yes! Let's do this!
Vaggie: Just look at me and I'll mouth it to you
Charlie: Come on Vaggie! I know what to say, I just feel like we need to... I dont know, make things sound more exiting!
Charlie gasps as she develops an idea
Charlie: What if I-
Peter, Millie and Vaggie interrupt Charlie
Peter, Millie and Vaggie: Sing a song about it?
Charlie giggles
Charlie: You three knew I would say that
Peter: Because we all know you
Vaggie: Please, just, don't sing, this is serious!
Charlie: Well, Peter knows I'm better at expressing myself and my goals through song!
Peter: It's true, our childhood friend Harry had to block his ears when she would sing, heh, when we were thirteen, he got so sick of her doing it all the time, he promised that we would go to the carnival and win her a stuffed bear
Charlie giggles
Charlie: I remember that! I kept singing in his ear when he was trying to win it for me, he got so angry that he paid the man two hundred dollars to get it so I would shut up
Vaggie: Guys, focus! This isn't the time to go down memory lane!
She looks at Charlie
Vaggie: Life isn't a musical, Charlie, not everything is sunshine and rainbows
Charlie sighs
Charlie: Fine, but I have these other ideas of what to say! The highlighted bits are the best part!
Charlie takes out a small sheet of paper from her left pocket and give it to Vaggie, Vaggie examines the sheet
Vaggie: It's all highlighted, Charlie...
Vaggie squints down at the paper
Vaggie: Is that a drawing?
Charlie: Yes! That's the happy ending, see?
Charlie points out the drawing to Vaggie and starts fantasizing
Charlie: Everyone smiling and happy in Heaven!
Vaggie: I don't think it's that simple. Just, please follow the talking points we went over. And whatever you do-
Vaggie puts both of her hands back onto Charlie's shoulders
Vaggie: Do. not. sing.
Charlie: Okay, fiiine
As Millie finished straightening Charlie's hair, Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench sit at the news table facing the camera that was in front of them smiling as they told the news to the city
