Chapter 18: Suspicions

Charlie and Peter are currently sitting down on the couch in the living room as they finish decorating the hotel for Christmas, Alastor, Angel, Niffty, Husker, Millie and Vaggie all go out for dinner leaving the young couple to themselves. Charlie examines the spider that bit Peter in a small glass flask, Peter kept it after he found its corpse in his hoodie once he got his powers so that one day he could figure out what it actually is and find out how it gave him his powers

Charlie: It's beautiful...

Peter: Knows how to bite though

Charlie gives the spider back to Peter, Peter puts it in his left pocket

Charlie: Who else knows about this?

Peter: Just you

Charlie: Really?

Peter smiles and nods

Charlie: So, our argument yesterday didn't have to happen?

Peter shakes his head in shame

Peter: I wanted to keep my identity a secret so I could keep you safe, but after the argument we had, I knew I couldn't keep it from you any longer than I have already, I'm sorry

Charlie: Hey, I get it, you're forgiven, and thanks for saving Vaggie a few months ago, maybe if you tell her she might sto-

Peter: No- no- no- no one else can know

Charlie: Why?

Peter: Because I don't want anyone else to know

Charlie: Okay then...

A silence falls into the room for a few seconds

Peter: Hey, y-you don't believe what the police are saying, do you?

Charlie: Of course not

Peter nods again and looks at the floor

Charlie: Does it scare you, what you can do?

Peter: No

Charlie: What did it look like, that thing on the bridge?

Peter: Real big, too big and oozy for it to be normal

Charlie: You got to lay low

Peter: Can't do that

Charlie: You've got to, why not?

Peter: Because last night, those people on the bridge, whatever was attacking them, it could have killed them, so, I-I-I gotta go after it

Charlie shakes her head

Charlie: That's not your job

Peter: Maybe it is...

Peter and Charlie stare at each other for a few seconds, Peter stares at her with a lovers gaze while Charlie stares at him with concern and worry

Peter: You're an amazing kisser

Charlie blushes

Charlie: Y-yeah, w-well, y-your not too bad yourself, M-Mr Parker

Peter: Yeah...?

Charlie: Yeah~

Both of their lips meet, Charlie puts her arms around Peter's neck while Peter puts both of his hands on her cheeks, they share the kiss for a few minutes until the front door opens

Alastor: Honey, I'm home, hohoho

Peter and Charlie's lips separate as Alastor and the rest walk into the room and see Peter and Charlie on the couch, Peter was smiling and Charlie was blushing
