for me music is like a shoe.
it fits perfectly
and without it my feet would hurt from walking.
it also keeps my feet warm when it's cold outside.
and i consumed it at this point
mud and dirt on its sole from running on unknown roads hoping to find my way back home
and i will keep running,
until it's lived enough to take it and put it in the closet
with the pile of memories attached to its laces.
A/N: so this is an old one. i haven't been writing much lately (and i hate it), I've been writing some prose but nothing major.
this poem for me its a love it or hate it situation, and I'm still not sure, so let me know what you think :P
i doesn't show much in my poems here so far how big my love for music is. i think that music and poetry are one of the real few things i live for. i play and sing and listen to music all the time (I've also put out a song like two months ago lol).
it's been my safe place for years and it will always be, i guess. thats kinda what this poem is about. music is also the reason i started writing, since I was a little kid.
