Chapter VIII

꧁꧂

Win, big one
For the little girl who lost
In a battle she tried to outrun;
In a world that turns hope to rust

Lose, strong warrior
As day will always fall to night,
How waves retreat from shores,
And when stars don't shine that bright

Dream and believe
Leap and grasp what comes may
Yearn for tomorrow as you breathe
Remember her every step of the way

Learn and revive
For the days when you couldn't-
Couldn't be wise, couldn't be alive
To succumb, you ought you wouldn't

Fight, persistent lass
For the times when you hid and faltered
Worry not, dear heart of glass
Look, look what you have conquered

Go, brave one
For the little girl who stayed behind
In a war that warned none;
That she wished you'd go to find
