Winter Solstice

Life grows difficult on certain days,

More darker when viewed through,

The lens of pessimism.

But remember, it's just a phase.

From shining silver to charcoal black,

Witnessing the light and hope fade,

A transformation that aches in heart.

When there's no one beside us,

We seldom feel more shattered,

But isn't this life ours to face?

Darkness, a phase that touches,

Everyone's soul in it's own time,

If seen optimistically, we discover

New perspectives and strengths unfold.

Hold on to faith, remember

There is sunrise after every sunset,

Just as,

Winter follows every spring.

So when life engulfs us with darkness,

Don't you forget to trust your inner light,

For darkness eventually strengthens our potential,

Both in our hearts and minds.
