Fuck. Why did I have such a killer headache? What time is it? I glanced at me beside table clock and groaned, 8:03 a.m. What the hell happened last night? All I remember was Greg and Jake taking me out for drinks last night and... that girl. Oh, shit.

"Morning!" a leggy blonde with piercing blue eyes said as she came into my room as she handed me a teacup filled with water and an Advil "Sleep well?" she asked and I eyed her confused, which only caused her to laugh slightly. Was she... was she wearing my t-shirt?! "You mind?" she asked innocently as she glanced down at my shirt, which reached her knees "I couldn't find something else to wear and that dress was too tight." she said as she sat beside me, I groaned slightly as I drank some of the wáter along with the pill "You're probably wondering who I am." she said and I chuckled slightly

"The thought occured to me." I muttered and she smiled slightly as she stood up, shaking her hair which was messy; she extended her hand out to me and I took it cautiously

"Name's Amy." she said with a smile "We met last night at the bar, talked a while, well, you did mostly." she chuckled slightly "You talked a lot about this girl, so I decided to help take your mind off her, but it didn't work." she said as she bit her lip and giggled at me "You kept moaning her name," I choked on my wáter as I sputtered, coughing in the process and she laughed "but at least I tried, right?" she shrugged slightly

"I'm Lucas." I said and she nodded with a smile

"I know." she answered briefly "Well listen, from what you told me about you and this girl, I gather you're still crazy about her, and I know it's not any of my business..." she muttered "but you seem like an alright guy Lucas; if you still love her like you say you do, fight for her, even if she's engaged." she said with a shrug "If I know anything about girls, it's that without closure, there's no way those feelings completely go away. You just have to help her dig them out." she shrugged with a smile and I chuckled

"Thanks... Amy." I said with a small smile "I know I just technically met you, but you seem alright too." I added and she smiled slightly before standing up from my bed and heading to the bathroom

"You mind if I take a shower?" she yelled and I shook my head with a laugh as I rubbed the back of my neck

"Be my guest!" I yelled back before standing up and heading towards the kitchen because I was starving! This hangover was a killer! I'm feeling like having pancakes...

*****

"Something smells good." I Heard behind me, I whipped around and saw Amy leaning on the counter, her hair dripping wet as it soaked one side of her dress since she had it in a braid

"I thought the least I could do was make breakfast..." I winced "you know, for..."

"Yeah, I get it." she chuckled slightly as she sat on one of the stools and just stared at me "So, what's your deal anyway, Lucas?" she asked and I frowned in her direction "You're a cute guy... and I get that you're still in love with this girl, but from what I gather, you don't really sleep around." she said with a shrug "Most guys don't offer breakfast afterwards."

"Guess I'm not most guys." I shrugged as I slid a pancake onto her plate, she smiled gratefully before slathering butter on it and flooding it with maple syrup "You sure you want to do that?" I chuckled and she shrugged

"Sweet tooth." she answered briefly before cutting a piece and biting into it, she moaned in satisfaction "Wow, I might have to sleep with you more often so you can make me more of these." she joked and I nodded stifly "Jokes, Lucas, learn to take one!" she said before bumping my shoulder with a laugh

"Yeah, whatever." I muttered with a small smile "What about you, then? You seem to know almost everything about me, now I want to know more about you." I said and she shrugged before biting into another piece of her pancake

"Not really much to tell." she said with a small sigh "I'm from a small town and came here to be a model; didn't really work out. Only did a couple catalog shoots." I nodded for her to continue and she bit her lip "Never been in love; too much drama." she said as she scrunched up her nose in disgust and shuddered "Only child, my parents are divorced... and that's pretty much it." she sighed and I nodded

"Any friends here?" I asked and she shook her head

"I'm too shy." she shrugged "You seem to have quite a lot of friends, though."

"Not really, I just know a lot of people; from college." I said as I started eating a pancake as I sat next to her, she crossed her legs and turned to me since she was now done "But you have a friend now." I said and she frowned in confusion "Me." I said with a small smile, she chuckled and shook her head as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear before standing up and heading back to my room, she came back with a book in her hands and handed it to me; Angel, by Eleanor Grey

"I read some of it in the morning and just thought I should let you know." she shrugged as she collected her plate and glass and set it in the dishwasher before coming back to sit down next to me "It's my favorite book ever and I just couldn't resist." she said and I chuckled bitterly before setting it down, quite harshly. she blinked at me "You okay?" she asked and I sighed deeply

"The book just brings back memories." I muttered as I fiddled with my fingers; I heard her gasp softly

"You're him." she breathed "You're Eric, from the book." she said as she blinked rapidly "And that girl you were talking about... is the autor." she said and I merely nodded "And the book is about you two, you're relationship." she gaped at me and then shook her head "You turned out to be a hell of a lot more interesting than I thought, Lucas." she said with a light giggle "Oh My God, is that the time?" she said and I glanced at the clock 10: 15 a.m. "I have to go." she said as she rushed to the bedroom and grabbed her shoes and bag

"If you want I can give you more comfortable clothes." I suggested and she smiled slightly before shaking her had at me

"This isn't my first rodeo, buddy.  I'm used to walking out in heels." she winked slightly at me before kissing my cheek and heading towards the door "I hope we see each other again, Lucas." she said and I nodded "And if you ever need someone to make that girl jealous, just call me." she winked before shutting the door behind her

"But I don't have your number." I muttered to myself, I sighed deeply before heading to the bathroom and chuckled once I saw what was on the mirror; Amy had written her phone number with her lipstick. 'Call me anytime. Have a good life, Lucas. -Amy xoxo'
