Gates of horn and ivory

I sing a lullaby to you, in my sleep;

Praying to all the darkest gods

That you receive,

a solitary solemn note.

before I awake and start to choke.

Eyes closed and fingers clasped.

did my song reach you at last?

Dreamings start to stir, I dream a dream where I see her.

Foggy eyes such disarray, sweet sleep staves off,

calamity.

This sleep is killing me.

This sleep I keep clutching at.

The sleep that swallows dreams.

The sleep I lose at last.

I sing to you a reveille;

to wake the praying dreams.

Dark gods have said to me,

"Ten four on all accounts",

now come with me.

Eyes closed to all accounts,

did my fingers feel right there?

I reached and you were gone, already lost but still aware.

I dreamt a dream where she loved me too.

Such disarray, sweet sleep staves off,

calamity.

The sleep is killing me.

The sleep I keep clutching at.

This sleep that swallows dreams.

This sleep I lose at last.

This sleep I lose at last,

This sleep I lose at last.

This sleep;

This sleep.

A song peddled to me in a dream;

So sour sweet when waking up,

The dark Gods grinning at me.

An empty cup, next to me;

On the ground...

All my dreams pouring out.

Eyes closed and the strings are snapped;

Deaf ears seem to laugh, and a smile that could collapse, her love was a dream too.

Fog and disarray are in her eyes, she breathes sweet calamity...

Even in her sleep.

This sleep is killing me.

This sleep I keep clutching at.

The sleep that swallows dreams.

The sleep I lose at last.

I lose at last,

I lose at last;

I lost her to the sleep.

The sleep.
