Grabbing my purse from the bed, I throw my phone, charger, gum, and chapstick in, then put it on across my shoulders.
I walk out into my living room, checking my reflection one last time in the bathroom mirror. I've done a slightly glittery smokey eye with a dark red lipstick, my hair up in a neat bun.

I sigh, give myself one last once over then head out to the kitchen, ready to go. I sit down at a seat at the kitchen table, pulling out my phone as I wait for Tobi to get here. My nerves start to build up, so I decide to text the group chart with Talia and Freya.
Me:
I'm so nervous
Talia: It'll go great, I'm sure he'll be head over heels as soon as you open the door
Me: Thanks T, I'm just worried I'll fuck it up
Freya: I'm not supposed to tell you this but he called Josh a few minutes ago and he's super nervous too
Talia: Awww that's adorable
A knock on the door pulls me from my phone.
Me: Oh shit, I think he just got here
Freya: Yay! Have fun!!
Talia: Text us once you get home
Me: Will do
I get up and walk over to the door, reaching for the handle. I take a deep breath before turning the handle and opening it to Tobi on the other side.
