Tw: anxiety attack
🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿🗿'

Evans pov:
An owl hoots nearby and I jolt up. Connor is curled up sleeping on my shoulder. Gosh, he really looks so amazing.

I reach for my phone making as little movement as possible.

6:47pm.

"Connor," I whisper. "You should go. Your family might be wondering where you are."

Connor groans, turning his body. "Why."

I sigh. "You've been here for about, um, two days now."

Connor sighs. "Fine. I was comfortable. Guess that's over." He sits up rubbing his eyes sleepily.

"Connor," I frown, "it's not like I want you to go. It's just that a two day sleepover wasn't agreed on by your parents."

"Yeah, yeah," Connor says as he collects his belongings.

"We have school tomorrow," I remind.

Connor nods. "Well, I'm off, Hansen."
He slips on his shoes before going out the door. Then he turns back and gives me a salute before continuing to walk back.

I giggle as he salutes.

Connor's pov
By the time I actually start heading home, it's already 7. I don't live that far from Evan. I take a detour on my way. I ended up spending $15 on girl scout cookies. But I don't regret it.

I hug my three boxes of cookies to my chest. I bought the new s'mores one, Samoas, and thin mints. I suppress a laugh. Don't want to sound crazy getting girl scout cookies.

I walk back home with a little bounce in my step. Yep. Too excited. I try to walk "normally". Taking a thin mint cookie, I break it in half before tossing both parts into my mouth. I bust open the door and let out an evil laugh.

Zoe is standing by the kitchen. She furrows her eyebrows. "Connor are you high?" She accuses.

I flip her off. "Those girl scout cookies are some great sh*t," I comment. Then I hop up the stairs and into my room.

"Yeah, he's definitely high," Zoe mutters.

"I heard that!" I yell.

"So what?" She yells back.

I ignore her. Sitting down at my desk, I start English homework. I'm actually doing homework?! What a surprise! Not really. I do my homework everyday. Just no one thinks I do.

I get to math homework. I take one look and make a sour face. I absolutely hate math. I just don' get it. I attempt the first problem, only to give up twenty seconds later.

"Solve your own problems!" I huff.

I scroll through Evan's Instagram account. Totally not stalking. Trees. A tree. More tree. A stick. Another tree. A leaf. A deer. A tree. A forest. Three leaves. Jackpot! A picture of him!

I tap on the pic. Evan was hugging a tree smiling brightly. He looked the same. I check the date. Only two months ago. I like it. Then I realize my mistake and take my like back. It'd be pretty creepy if someone likes your photo you posted a month ago.

Zoe sends me a text.

Jazzisnotdying.zm: hey bro

I close my phone and finish my math homework.

My phone vibrates from a call. I sigh and pick it up. "Hey I'm broke and I have no money so don't spam me with ads ple-"

"-Connor oh my gosh thank goodness it's you," A familiar voice says. Evan.

"Hey, what's up," I ask casually as if I didn't say what I said before.

"Um... I.. can you come right now? I.. I-I dontknowwhatishoulddo and........ ohgeezimfreakingout," he stammers.

I grab my keys and cookies off the desk and start heading downstairs. "Hey, wait for me, I'm coming. Just relax."

I almost get through the door.

"You just came back 20 minutes ago," Zoe says.

"I know, and I'm off and I'm taking my cookies, bye," I rush as I hastily slip on my shoes and run towards Evan's house. I notice there's a small car outside.

I get there in three minutes. I don't knock. I just swing open the door and look around for Evan.

WARNING

I find him in his room. He's curled into a ball and panicking.

I kneel besides him. "Hey, what's wrong?" I ask as nice as possible.

Evan opens his mouth to speak but then closes it and shakes his head.

I shift uncomfortably. I honestly don't know what to do. So I hug him.

He tenses up at first but then relaxes.

"It's fine, everything's fine," I soothe. "Here, use my breathing and match it." I take his hand a place it over my heart.

He slowly starts to calm down.

END OF ATTACK

"Thanks... Connor," he whispers.

I offer him a smile. "Do you want to talk about it?"

Evan hesitates. "You'll probably laugh," he murmurs.

I sigh. "Evan, I won't laugh." At least, I'll try not to.

"I.. Um... I-I freaked out while the guy was delivering pizza." He stammers.

"Oh. So he left?"

"No. He.. he's still here.. and I still haven't paid him."

I raise an eyebrow. "Where is he now?"

"In the kitchen. I think."

"I can pay for you," I offer.

Evan nods. "But use the money my mom left," he adds, "here." He hands me a $20 bill.

"Ok," I say as I head towards the kitchen.

The pizza guy is impatiently standing by the table. He had put the pizza on the table already.

"So are you paying now?" He asks.

I pass him the $20 bill. "Mmhm."

He takes it and counts the change. "$4.59 is your change," he states, handing me the change. Then he leaves.

I hear a voice from the distance.

"Is he gone yet?" Evan squeaks.

"Yeah, he is," I confirm.

Evan steps down the stairs and joins me. He grabs a slice of pizza and starts taking bites.

My stomach rumbles. I blush. I take a box of my cookies and start eating some.

"Thank you so much, Connor," Evan says.

"No problem," I respond.

"You should get home soon," Evan suggests. "It's already dark and you've been here for almost the whole day."

I groan. "Ok, ok." I pack my cookies back into the box. Then I leave the house. "Bye Evan," I call.

"Bye Connor," Evan says.
