I'm in my room after school studying on my bed with my two best friends helping me. Were listening to a mix of Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, Halsey and Troye Sivan who could possibly be the best pop singers of all time. We're all quietly humming the song under our breaths whilst trying to figure out how to do Sankey diagrams for Physics class.

"Okay, I understand it so 150J is the final amount right?" Tess questions. I look down at the diagram in my book than looked at hers.

"Yes," I reply looking in my book for the next question.

We are sat for a while looking at the questions I can't believe we got this much homework considering it's only a Monday.

"So I hear that there is an amazing party on Friday after another game," Tess gushed.

"Okay are we going?" April asked tightening her ponytail.

"I don't know guys," I said warily.

"Come on it'll be fun. Just try it for me," Tess pleaded with her big brown puppy dog eyes.

"Fine," I said giving in easily.

"Hey," I said walking down the hall seeing my brother after having said goodbye to my friends.

"Hi. I need to talk to you," He replied bluntly.

Marcus dragged me into his room which I hadn't been in for around two years. It was different to how I remember and he has moved some furniture around. Sitting at his desk chair I spun around and saw some of his sketches, they are so realistic with all the shading and highlighting. I saw that he mainly focused on drawing celebrities.

"These are amazing," I said picking up a picture of Andrew Garfield who played Spider-Man.

He came over to me and took the drawing a light pink blush across his cheeks.

"Anyway I brought you in here to say not to tell anyone that I'm bisexual," He said curtly getting straight to the point.

"Okay as long as you don't tell anyone including Mum and Dad that I'm gay."

"You're what?!" He asked sounding shocked.

"I'm gay. I'm lesbian. I like girls. Do you want me to say it anymore?" I said my voice undertones a bit of teasing.

"Wait...really?" Marcus said sitting down on his bed which was across from me looking slightly confused but also happy.

"Yeah. Why would I lie about that?" I replied.

He got up as I did and gave me a hug, the first hug I've had from him in years and it was comforting. It feels nice knowing that now at this very moment is the closest we've ever been.

Pulling away I asked, "So do you have a crush on anyone?"

"I'm not talking to you about that," He protested.

I tickled him saying "Why not I'm not going to tell anyone or stop tickling you for that matter until you tell me who."

"Fine. Fine. It's Kyle."

"I knew it!" I said proudly.

"What how?"

"I saw the way you looked at him at the game," I teased.

"It's that obvious?" He said sitting back down on his bed sighing.

"Yeah but it's okay. I like Blair," It felt like a relief having someone to share and talk to my feelings about even if it is my annoying moody little brother.

Dinner was kind of awkward although my Mum has sort of warmed to the fact that Marcus is bisexual but there is still some tension. Dad is on his phone apparently doing 'business work' with one of his clients. Mum has a handful of times asked him to stop doing work at the table but he won't listen and instead just always carries on.

"So how's school?" Mum asked trying to make small talk looking pointedly at both of us.

"Good," I said looking down at my plate my fork searching for a piece of broccoli to eat before she asks me another question.

"How about you Marcus?" she said after taking a bite of her food.

"Boring like normal," he replied straightforwardly.

The rest of the dinner was pretty much silent other than the occasional sound of knives and forks scraping against the plate.

After dinner, I went to my room and listened to a playlist of Our Last Night and The Pretty Reckless. When I could feel my eyes begin to flutter shut I got up and put on some pyjamas that have little foxes on and went to sleep.
