Cadence's POV

S-so tiring...

The nobles were bombarding me, with numerous questions and overwhelming flattery

Can't these adult nobles leave the child me alone? I've had enough of being called adorable and cute

I desperately needed a break from all human species and thus I retreated. To some random lounge room nearby.

Upon entering, I immediately plop my small body onto the velvet sofa and laid there lazily

If my etiquette instructor were to see me in my current state, I'm sure she would scold and lecture me harshly

Well, whatever... not like anyone's here beside me anyway. I just need a 10-minute rest from all the formalities and rules

I was enjoying my time alone in the pure bliss of silence when suddenly I hear the door start to creak open

I hurriedly get up and fix my posture in a panic, thinking that someone had walked in

To my relief and surprise, it wasn't some random noble or official

It was a young male, with neat, light brown hair and clear violet coloured eyes. His rosy lips were curved into a gentle smile upon seeing me

[ "B-big brother!" ]

I rush into Levins open arms and hug him tightly

Uwaa it's been so long since I've seen my lovely big brother!

He rubs my head affectionately as I bathe in his warmth and comfort

[ "Happy Fifth birthday Cady. You've sure grown haven't you?" ]

I pout

All lies! Even Allycia and Claira are a full head taller than me, and we're roughly the same age! My body just seems to refuse to grow!

Perhaps sensing my childish unhappiness, Levin giggles and assures me that I'm very adorable

It seems I'm so distracted by Levin, that I don't even notice a second boy enter

[ "Wow she's so small!" ]

He exclaims loudly, startling me

I look over at the unfamiliar face. Curly and messy black hair, bright yellow eyes, slightly tanned skin and a bandaid stuck on the left side of his cheek

W-who is this foreign looking youth?!

[ "Stop it, you're scaring her by just appearing out of nowhere like that" ]

Levin says to the dark haired male as I hide shyly behind Levin

They looked to be the same age and were roughly the same height

[ "Oops sorry bro! I forgot you were a hardcore siscon!" ]

Levin furrows

[ "So what if I love my cute little sister?" ]

[ "Blah! There you go again with your diabetic words!" ]

I tug at Levins sleeve gently

[ "Um big brother... who is that..?" ]

I say meekly in a soft tone

Levin looks shocked by my question

[ "Ah... I forgot to introduce him, sorry Cady. This is my close friend and classmate, Alec" ]

[ "Yo, so you're the infamous little sis huh? Nice to finally meetcha princess!" ]

Alec says with a bright, ear to ear smile that perfectly displayed his deep dimples and bright white teeth
