[46] Unearthing the Truth

LENA's POV

Natutop ko ang bibig ko, ano'ng nangyayari?

May alam ba silang hindi ko alam? At bakit kasali si Aston?

What truth do I deserve to hear?

My heartbeat accelerated at para akong masusuka sa kaba at sa takot. Muli akong sumilip at nandoon ang asawa ko, he was glaring dangerously at Wraith.

Ilang beses ko ng nakitang galit si Aston...

But not like this...

He was seething with rage.

What was happening?

Aston...ano ito?

Bakit ka naglilihim mula sa akin?

Nanginginig ako sa takot, at nanlalamig. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nangyayari, but my gut instinct were telling me that this news would shatter me.

My instincts were telling me to walk away from that place, to run... to get away. But I was rooted...my tears were falling... habang patuloy pa din akong nakatingin sa mga kaganapan.

"I'm just doing my job" Wraith looked at my brother directly in the eye "And I believe you should do yours too Rigid" saad nito, natutop ko ang bibig ko sa narinig at nakita kong naningkit ang mga mata ng kapatid ko.

"Are you saying that I'm not doing my job Lieutenant General Zephyr Wraith Lavigne?" my brother asked in a very dangerous tone, as Wraith gritted his teeth.

"You're protecting that criminal Rigid! Wake up! General Rigid Razor Montez! Don't pretend as if you're not sir! I know that you're doing things, contacting your forces just to prove him innocent! But you can't Rigid! You can't twist the truth! You can't protect your brother in law forever!" Wraith burst out

"SHUT UP!" Aston shouted, nanginginig ito sa galit.

"I am not a criminal! I only want to protect her!" saad nito at tumulo ang luha ko, ano'ng nangyayari?! My stomach churned. Parang...

parang alam ko na....

pero ayokong isipin...

Mali ang iniisip ko di'ba?

"You shouldn't speak hastily Wraith Lavigne" saad ng kapatid ko who now seemed to gain his composure, "You can't persecute him unless you have proof of what you're accusing him of" saad nito as Wraith's fist clenched and my brother looked at him coolly, nanatiling nakayuko si Aston.
