" Ronaq." The voice had made me still as I stared at the man. He ran past the guards with authorative steps. His state dishelved. Brown amber eyes fixed on me.

He startled me as he pulled me in his embrace as soon as he reached us. A loud gasp escaped through my parted lips as I remained unmoved. And in a flash I was torn away from him.

" Zaryaab!" A groan of protest left the man's lips. As Zaryaab held him back by his arms. Blocking his view of me. Shivers ran down my spine as I saw the man push Zaryaab like crazy.

" Let me see her Zaryaab. Let me see her, one last time." The desperation in his voice was painful and heartbreaking. I hid behind my husband's back as he spoke.

" She's not Ronaq. She's not." Zaryaab grit out painfully. And then he embraced the other man. The man with amber eyes tightened his hold on Zaryaab as if his life was dependent on him.

" Where were you? Why did you not come home? I thought you were gone. I thought I wouldn't see you agai-"

" Shsh. I am here now." Zaryaab announced and all guards straightened in their positions.

Why were they treating Zaryaab like this?

The two man pulled back and Zaryaab turned to me.

" Jahan, I'll tell you everything. But let me finish some work first." Zaryaab's tone had chills running down my spine. The amber eyed man had a name Jahan. He didn't dare to spare me a glance as he looked in the opposite direction, gulping painfully.

" Come." Zaryaab said as he practically dragged me towards the back of the house. I stared horrified at a group of guards beating a man as he lay begging on the floor whilst the man before me remained unfazed. A young woman standing at the far corner crying in her long veil. Another kick at the man's side and a low shriek left my lips causing their attention to divert towards me.

Their postures straightened and they nodded happily at Zaryaab. Causing the man to reciprocate.

" Leave my hand." I hissed as he pulled me up the stairs at the back that led to a door. Opening the white door with a key, he entered in first and then pulled me in.

" You stay here calm and quiet. One word out of your pretty little mouth and you'll face consequences." He grit out angrily making the fear ball to return in my throat.

Pushing me back he closed the door and I heard the lock turn indicating he had locked me inside.

" Open the door." I tapped the door with my palms.

" Open the door, Zaryaab." I cried suddenly horrified at what I had gotten myself into.
