Cinnamon's Wake

Friday night dinner is starting out then there is problem going on with Rory's 16 birthday, and the neighbors cat died.

Rory: mom you're going to talk to grandma about not coming next Friday right?
Lorelai: I'll talk and do my best for you.
Rory: I want to celebrate my birthday with you, Blair, Lane, Sookie, and Luke (she rambles on all the adults in the town)
Blair: what about any of your stars hallow high school friends?
Rory: I only hung out with Lane.
Blair: what about Dean! He has to come! He is  your boyfriend, don't you want him to come and see you with all your friends who are way older than you are!
Rory: I hate you! well at least I am not a......
Lorelai: ( cuts Rory off) HEY! How about we figured out how to convince grandma. And if we have to push your star hallow party to a Saturday  and you'll two birthday parties.
(Lorelai and Rory whispers to each other)
Lorelai: watch what you say, before you say it. Blair isn't like you Rory she more me and your father tempers rolled into one. And I would not like to have a meltdown before we get to your grandparents house.
Rory: fine. But she better stop with her attitude.
Lorelai: (talks to Blair) hey baby how about we talk about something else?
Blair: like what?
Lorelai: ohh how about practices and your first game?
Blair: (rolls her eyes practices are going fine and my 1st game is in 2 weeks. But I probably won't play that usually the 5th and 6th graders.

Finally arrived at Richard and Emily's house
Maid#3: welcome,  come on in.
Lorelai: oh just like that? You don't even know who we are.
Maid#3: ok then don't come in.
Lorelai: mom! Tell your maid to let us in or we are leaving.
Emily: Sandra! Let them in! They are family!
Maid #3: ok mrs. Gilmore.
Emily: how are you doing girls?
Blair and Rory: hi grandma!
Rory: great!
Blair: same.
They all walk over to get their drinks and they Lorelai get a call.
Lorelai: hey mom, would you mind if I take this?
Emily: yes I would.
Lorelai: ok I be back in 5 minutes

Lorelai walks outside and talks to her neighbor Babette about her cat cinnamon who died. And she comes back in to tell the girls.

Lorelai: girls you won't believe what happened?
Rory: what?
Lorelai: Cinnamon died
Rory: omg that is terrible! How is Babette doing?
Lorelai: she called me and asked if I would plan cinnamon's wake.
Blair: (rolls eyes) who cares it's just a dumb cat.
Lorelai: young lady we do not say that word. Cinnamon has a special place in Babette's heart.
Rory: she just mad because of what cinnamon did to her when she was 5.
Lorelai: well you need to be sincere in three days or else you have to leave the team.
Blair: come on!
Lorelai: I am sorry, we will discuss more at home.
Maid 3: dinner.
Emily: who is cinnamon?
Rory: a cat.
Emily: what did the cat do to Blair?
Blair gives a pouty face.
Lorelai: nothing you need to worry about cause it's all in the past. Now let's eat.

The three girls leave and head home.
Car ride

Rory: you forgot to tell grandma about next Friday!
Lorelai: ok I'll call tomorrow morning, if you want. But you could do it as well as I will forget.
Rory: fine I'll do it myself.

The next morning
Lorelai with Babette planning Cinnamon's wake, while Rory talking with grandma. Savannah and Blair and in her room talking and doing hw.

Blair: all I want is everything to be normal for once Savannah.
Savannah: what you talking about?
Blair: I wished for once I had normal life where I don't have to pretend I am someone I am not like at school or living with a mom and a dad (stops and looks away with tears)
Savannah: hey, you never even met him, why do you want to meet him?
Blair: all want to see what his hair color is, because I have blonde and my mom and sister both share brown. I went to know the way he laughs and smile is a similar to the way I laugh and smile.
Savannah: well have you try writing or calling him first?
Blair: what if he doesn't want to know me?
Savannah: listen B, your father would be stupid to not know you.
Door bell rings
Lorelai: (yells) BLAIR! VANESSA IS HERE!
Blair: V is here!
Savannah: ahh! She back from her family trip!
Blair and Savannah run down the stairs and hug Vanessa. They walk up stairs to Blair's bedroom.
Vanessa: I missed y'all so much while I was away. What did I miss from the 3 weeks of school I missed?
Savannah: well you left to go with your parents to Europe on a business trip and Blair left us for the smart kid school.
Blair: I didn't leave you forced me to go and live my dream.
Savannah: yeah, yeah, whatever... I didn't think you actually take it and leave me all alone.
Vanessa: there is S going on and on about how we are not good friends for leaving her B.
Blair: why did Macy and you left me alone with her for 3 weeks.
Vanessa: you miss her don't you
Blair: what if Macy forgets all about us and makes new friends at her new school.
Savannah: (whispers to Vanessa) Umm... V. I don't think this is about Macy.
Vanessa: why do you say that?
Savannah: how about B is at a new school?
Blair: what y'all talking about? Me?
Vanessa: how everything going at chilton prep?
Blair: terrible everyone hates me.
Savannah: I doubt that. What about that girl, umm... what's her name?
Blair: Haley?!
Vanessa: tells us about our new friend group member!
Blair: she not gonna be our new friend group member! She is the company opposite of us.
Savannah: if you think us meeting her will replace Macy you're wrong. Macy was the one to convince us to be friends.
Vanessa: let's call her and talk to her?
Blair: I can't. Because Rory is on the phone.
Savannah: that never stop you before!
Blair: She talking to grandma. I guess I might do her a flavor and get her out of party planning?!
She pickups the phone and start to talk.
Blair: when would you be done?
Rory: do you need the phone? Cause you can have it?
Blair: really?! Thank you so much!
Blair and Rory: bye grandma (both hangs the phone up and Blair picks it up and calls Haley)
Blair: someone answered. Hello is Haley there?!
Nurse: I'm sorry but she is busy doing her work. Maybe call again another time.
Blair: no this is Blair? We're in the same class I am calling to see if she wants to do hw together?
Nurse: I'll ask her.
Haley: Blair? Why are you calling on a Saturday?
Blair: that the days we hang out with friends! And do stuff together are you in?
Haley: let me tell my nurse what's going on.
Blair: you have a nurse? Why? Are you sick?
Haley: she just the one to take care of me and drive me places you met her.
Blair: I thought that was your mom.
Haley: my mom died two years after I was born, in a car crash. So my dad kept my nurse around to be a motherly figure to me.
Blair: I am so sorry. Do you want to come over?
Haley: tomorrow?!
Blair: yeah my neighbor's cat funeral is tomorrow so yeah.
Haley: oh are you going to miss the cat?
Blair laughs and tells her V and S, and they all laugh.
Blair: Come over tomorrow at 10:30 and you'll find out!?
Haley: I'll hang out with you. Tomorrow how about 10:30 am.
Blair: ok see you tomorrow, my house. Bye!!!
Haley: bye!
( Both hangs the phone up)

Sunday morning

The whole town came to support Babette.

Lorelai: Rory, I need you to greet people as they come in the door.
And thank people for coming.
Rory: umm... where would you be in all of this?
Lorelai: I planned the event and I have a date with Max.
Rory: mom!! No you have to be there!
Blair: yeah!! If I am going then your going!
Rory: and you shouldn't be dating my teacher!
Lorelai: fine, I'll tell him it canceled.
Blair: what time is it?
Rory: 10
Blair: mom! Are you almost done on the phone with your boyfriend!!
Lorelai: you want to be grounded.
Blair: (looks down and smirks) ok, but are you almost done on the phone?
Lorelai: ( talking on the
phone)Max I have to go. I am so sorry about canceling for a third time hope you weren't far from your house.
Lorelai hangs up the phone and hears a knock on the door.
Blair: ahhh Savannah and Vanessa are here!!!
Blair opens the door
Blair: Uh... mom! Rory's teacher is at the door!!!!
Max: hi you must be Blair, can I come in?
Blair looks at Rory
Rory: uh... yes come on in.
Phone rings and Lorelai answers it Lorelai: "Hey Haley, yes Blair is here"
Blair: what's up Haley?
Haley: I can't come, my nurse is making practice for the pre-SATs this year.
Blair: wait we have to do pre-SATs this year?
Haley: yes. They are making us do in every year starting in the fourth grade.
Blair: we have to do the pre-SATs every year til the SATs?!
Haley: yep. It in two months.
Blair: ok thanks for informing me about that.
Haley m: np! Bye!
Blair: bye
( Both hangs the phone up)
