Nymphette comes from Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov written in the 1950's. Nabokov's book is about a Literature professor in this late 30's named Humbert Humbert. Humbert has a odd obsession with 12/14 year old girl named Dolores Haze.
Nymphette first popped up in Nobokov's book to be the first abduction of the word. Nymphette Originated from the Greek word Nymph that explained a beautiful young woman. Google results made nymphette a word to describe girls that are attractive and young. Humbert explains a nymphette to him is anyone from ages 9 to 14. Many films have changed the age limit of mostly making them in their teens and young adulthood. Nymphette may have many meanings but what made nymphette popular today?
Most nymphette books and films have one thing in common the relationship between mainly teens and adults. Having age gap relationships in nearly all films.
