the next few days are filled with occurrence.

we meet up with mike the manager the following afternoon, in order to discuss the album, and some interesting facts are revealed.

"you're receiving... a change in management," mike tells us carefully. "after the news about your band contract at the trial, some of the big boss men weren't very happy. so the people on your team will be changing. i don't think i'll be your manager anymore, and when you get back to tour, things may be a little different."

it's established that we'll be working with the same song production team for our new releases though, so none of us really take any notice.

we agree to try and get our first single out before christmas, which is difficult for us because it gives us less than three weeks. the label don't take this news too well considering it's not a christmas single, but we're still releasing it.

"let's do an instagram story about it," tyler says suddenly. me, him, bil, ash, shay and finneas are all sat around the fireplace in ash and shay's apartment, with gentle acoustic music playing in the background.

"i thought we agreed we were just gonna drop it out of nowhere," ashley frowns.

"fuck it, dude," i shrug, pulling out my phone and opening up the band account.

"hi fuckers," i yell.

"riri," bil reprimands me playfully, her head flopping onto my shoulder so she can make it into the frame.

i slap her forehead lightly and continue. "we're releasing a song on... uh... what day is it?"

"what's not clicking. what's not clicking?" tyler quips, giggling.

shay rolls his eyes at all of us and moves forwards towards the camera. "in two days. on friday," he says.

"hold onto your fucking wigs," finneas adds.

"set your alarms!" ashley adds.

"so, uh, yeah," i finish. "new song. two days. be there or be straight."

this release is gonna be so cool.
