High above the clouds, Old Tim sat on top of an hourglass-shaped, golden tower that was made invisible to the mortals. Below him, he watched the Guardians of Weather that gathered on the clouds to form the rain. Despite their ageless appearance, "Old" was traditionally attached to all Guardians' names--be it in the rank of Weather, Nature, or Time. Like each of them, Old Tim wore a glittering, all-white, soldier-like suit. He had a short, tousled hair--white as a cloud and soft as a fur. His complexion was pale white, and his lips were dark red.
Rainy season was one of Old Tim's favorites, and watching the first rain formation every year was his habit.
It had been a year since it happened.
And as he saw the flashes of lightning and heard the echoes of thunder above the clouds, the present merged with the past into his mind. ...
