Dear Foster,

We passed by Havenfield. We were leaping around a little bit, I think they were looking for something. But we passed by your house.

I saw you.

It's been a year. So much time.

But you still looked as beautiful as ever.

I think you saw me- maybe just a glimpse.

You turned around and I darted behind the house, but I saw you smile to yourself.

I still don't know why you didn't go after me.

I peeked around the corner and for the splittest second, our eyes met. Those golden flecks locked into mine and I wondered if it would just be easier if I ran into your arms and hugged you and told you I was coming back.

But then...

Somebody has to make the hard choices.

And I'd rather it be me than you.
