Narrator's pov

-

"What!?" The girl's hissed

"I'm serious" May said

"You can't do that.... YOU CAN'T DO THAT" Autumn yelled

"Oh? Watch me" May said blankly

Kate stood frozen in place, her brows stitched together almost permanently as her brain tried to register the words she has just been told

"You can't freaking do that. Right?"

"I can and I just did" May shrugged

"I'm sorry, what?" The brunette finally spoke

May sighed and rested both palms flatly on the desk, her brown eyes glanced up to the brunette

"How badly do you want this Kate?" May asked

The question left Kate baffled in a way, she'd needed this chance more than she'd ever expected. Hundreds came to audition but she managed to score that role, it would change her life so much to continue on the journey, plus she'd never had so much fun before on a set.

"Are you even allowed to force us to do that?" Autumn asked

It was only then did May glance at the girl and pierce her brown eyes into Autumn's blue ones

"I'm your director. And I'm your agent Autumn" May said sternly

Kate's face fell fast. In that instant her skin became greyed, her mouth hung with lips slightly parted and her eyes were as wide as they could stretch.

"Yo- you're her agent?" Kate asked

"You didn't know this?" Autumn questioned

"It doesn't matter. The point is, it'll help you two understand each other. You're fighting over petty stuff and it needs to end. Kate, you're really talented. We had alot of people audition for the role but yours... Yours left a mark on us, you were unforgettable. And you Autumn, you know exactly why you're here. And you two work. You work so good together on camera I just don't know how the hell you fail to be that same way off camera. I don't want to let anyone go just because of stupid fights. This movie means alot to Mia, and I'm sure it means alot to each one of you. Autumn you know Mia and you know it's her first script. So for the love of God, please get yourselves together and agree to this" Mia hissed

The two actresses drank in the silence to counteract the fear that threatens to engulf them, they knew it was a bad idea to have two hot heated girls in the same house since they hated each other but they needed a way to solve the problem. This kind of thick silence would normally chill Kate, especially on an inky night devoid of even moonlight or stars, but tonight it worked like a salve. She felt it. The more absolute it was the stronger its medicinal effect.

"Do you really think putting two people that hate each other in the same house is going to solve their problems!?" Autumn hissed

"No. But you'll try" May said

"There isn't any other ideas or would you rather leave the set when the film is already in progress?" the male director asked

Kate bit her lip nervously as she glanced at Autumn, not finding the will within herself to speak up. She knew she had to agree to whatever was happening because she had no choice, she wanted to continue in the movie, it was the only thing making her the adrenaline to wake up in the morning

But she also knew that everything depended on what Autumn said next

"What are my parents going to say about this?" Autumn asked

"You're 20 years old Autumn, do you really need you parents to make this type of decision for you?" May asked

"You know my parents. Don't even ask me such a question" Autumn said

"Your parents will report to me on whatever the hell they don't agree on and I'll make sure they calm their heads afterwards" May said

"I'm pretty sure they'll screw your head off before you get the chance"

"Um, where exactly would we be living?" Kate cutted in, curious to know the arrangements if they agreed

May glanced at the girl and finally laid a smile on her lips

"We have somewhere already set up, we were going to offer it to Autumn so she wouldn't have to fly in and out of the country everytime to film but there's like four rooms, you'll be sharing the house" May said

Kate furrowed her brows at the directors

"She has to travel everytime she films?"

"Yep, but we needed her to be in a stable place for a while since we'll be filming more heavily"

"What about Brooke?" Autumn asked

"What about her?" May retorted

"What will she say about me moving in with my co star!?" The blue eyed girl asked again

"She's your ex. What the hell does she have to say about your life!?"

"Maybe because she's still APART OF IT!?" Autumn yelled

The brown eyes of May were fully blown by now, she hunched over the desk and slammed her flat palm against it. The sound echoed through the room and startled both girls

"How many times have I told you to CUT THAT BITCH OFF" May hissed

It was another rare moment you'd find May cursing. She'd only yell when she was truly heated and cursed when she was tossed into the heap of melting anger. It was a scary thing to see

Autumn slouched in her chair, she seemed so much different that she was. Her head was lower and she played with her fingers, her feet lightly tapped against the ground as her eyes avoided May's eyes, clearly guilty over something. It seemed as if she crossed a line for something, Kate couldn't help but furrow her brows

She'd never seen the girl so.. Dormant in a way, so quite.

Autumn and her ex had a complicated relationship. And by complicated, I mean toxic. Highly. Toxic.

But like all toxic relationships, they just couldn't let go of each other. They were blinded and needed a good slap across the cheek with a stick labeled 'sense' but even that wouldn't work sometimes

Kate's brows were permanently stitched together at this point from frowning so much.

Autumn had hissed her just moments ago and now she was in the office, her appearance soft as ever as she talked about her ex

"You know I can't" Autumn mumbled, her eyes burning holes into the fingertips that she played with

"Screw it. I'll take care of Brooke. Just... You really need to take control of your life Autumn, especially with her. That girl is gonna drive you down into the ground right with her" May said calmly

Autumn stayed silent in her chair, she knew exactly what she needed to do but she couldn't seem to shake off her ex.

Sometimes we fall in love when we least expect it, it's intense and passionate until we see something in that person we don't agree with

And no matter how much we try to erase it from our minds or brush it aside

It creeps back up and always lingers in the back of our minds, just waiting to attack when they slip up

So then we focus of pushing aside that one flaw, not even realizing they were unlocking their dark side before our eyes

And that's when love goes toxic.

"So... What will it be?" May asked

"Are you going to walk away from the production or agree to live together?" The male director asked

The two girls glanced at each other, Kate's brown eyes locked with the blue orbs of Autumn and the breath instantly knocked out of her lungs. Those icy blue eyes stabbed at her heart was killed her voice. So she stayed silent as Autumn turned to face May

"I guess we don't have a choice"
