THINGS TAKE A 360

THAT NIGHT, Percy moved all his stuff into the Poseidon cabin where Arya was practically bouncing on her toes waiting for him. Percy was grateful for her, he really was. But something felt off, felt different to him. The cabin was quiet, no noise of 30 other chattering kids that Percy had grown used to over the weeks. He liked Arya, but it would take some getting used to thinking of her as a sister. He struggled to wrap his head around the fact that they were related and lived completely different lives up till this point.

Percy couldn't help but think back to what he learned about Arya in relation to being a child of the big three and couldn't help but wonder if his life would hold the same terrible fate.

Arya wanted nothing more than to help Percy settle in, talk to him, and get to know him better. But she was smarter than that, she tried her hardest to keep to herself, briefly explaining the different parts of the cabin and telling him to pick his bed, but other than that she barely spoke a word, wanting to give him the space he probably needed. She knew this was probably a lot for him and the last thing she wanted was for her new family to get annoyed with her.

The next morning, for the first time, Arya had someone to eat with at her table, someone to converse with rather than having to sit and observe everyone else. Percy seemed to be in a better mood, but he was still off, so Arya tried not to bombard him. She did explain to him that now that there were two of them, he got a say in picking their schedules for the day, which Percy seemed to like the idea off. He liked the idea even more when Arya explained that she tries to take most of her lessons with Luke.

Percy and Arya were quick to notice how the camp started to treat Percy. A child of the big three wasn't supposed to happen, and now there were two of them, everyone assumed he was just like Arya, who had advanced fighting skills, and became terrified of him and avoided him at all costs.

The first day when they tried to go to sword lessons with cabin eleven no one wanted to partner with him. Arya wanted to tell Percy that once they got to know him better and realize he was the same person they had gotten to know, that they would go back to treating him like normal. But Arya wasn't sure if it would help the situation.

As the first week came to a close, Arya decided most of their lessons would be on their own with maybe a few others, if they asked to join. While Arya wasn't old enough to be an instructor, yet, she didn't see anything wrong with a one-on-one lesson with her new brother.
