“Poor child.”

“Poor, sweet child.”

“He has a very serious problem”

“If only there were something we could do.”

“But there is something.”

Two eels circle around Aaron, as soon as Sebastian left.

“Who……who are you?” Aaron asked a bit anxious.

“Don't be scared.” Jetsam said.

“We represent someone who can help you.” Flotsam continued.

“Someone who could make all your dreams come true.”

“Just imagine…”

“You and your princess…”

“Together, forever. . . .”

“I don't understand.” Aaron said in confusion.

“Ursul has great powers.”

“The sea wizard? Why, that's…I couldn't possibly… No! Get out of here! Leave me alone!”

“Suit yourself.”

“It was only a suggestion.”

The two start to swim and Jetsam flicked the statue's broken face towards Aaron.

Aaron looked at the face contemplating.

“Wait.”

Flotsam and Jetsam smirked and turned to him.

“Yeeeeeeeeeess?

Outside of Aaron’s cove,

“Poor Aaron.” Flounder said sniffling.

“I didn't mean to tell, it was an accident.” Sebastian said.

Aaron swims past with the two eels leading him.

“Aaron? Where are you going? Aaron, what are you doing here with this riff-raff?” Sebastian asked.

“I'm going to see Ursul.” Aaron said.

“Ariel, no! No, he’s a demon, he’s a monster!” Sebastian said frantically.

“Why don't you go tell my father? You're good at that.” Aaron said to Sebastian, swimming past him.

“But . . . But, I…” Sebastian started but Aaron  ignored him.

Then he turned to flounder. “Come on.”

They all swim over to Ursul's coven.

“This way.” Jetsam and Flotsam said leading Aaron into the cave.

Aaron looks around at Ursul’s seaweed garden.

“Come in. Come in, my boy. We mustn't lurk in doorways, it's rude.” A voice called from inside the cave.

Aaron turned to see a handsome young octopus like man.

“One MIGHT question your upbringing. Now, then. You're here because you have a thing for this human.  This, er, princess girl. Not that I blame you, she is quite a catch, isn't she? Especially her younger sister. Well, pretty boy, the solution to your problem is simple. The only way to get what you want is to become a human yourself.”

“Can you DO that?” Aaron asked intrigued.

“My dear, sweet child. That's what I do it's what I live for. To help unfortunate merfolk like yourself. Poor souls with no one else to turn to.”

URSUL:
I admit that in the past I've been a nasty
They weren't kidding when they called me, well, a wizard
But you'll find that nowadays
I've mended all my ways
Repented, seen the light and made a switch
True? Yes
And I fortunately know a little magic
It's a talent that I always have possessed
And here lately, please don't laugh
I use it on behalf
Of the miserable, lonely and depressed
(Pathetic)
Poor unfortunate souls
In pain, in need
This one longing to be thinner
That one wants to get the girl
And do I help them?
Yes, indeed
Those poor unfortunate souls
So sad, so true
They come flocking to my cauldron
Crying, “Spells, Ursul please”
And I help them?
Yes, I do
Now it's happened once or twice
Someone couldn't pay the price
And I'm afraid I had to rake 'em 'cross the coals
Yes, I've had the odd complaint
But on the whole I've been a saint
To those poor unfortunate souls

“Now, here's the deal. I will make you a potion that will turn you into a human for three days. Got that? Three days.” Ursul emphasized.

“Now listen, this is important. Before the sun sets on the third day, you've got to get our dear princess to fall in love with you. That is, she’s got to kiss you.  Not just any kiss, the kiss of true love. Now that is very important, it must be A KISS OF TRUE LOVE. If she does kiss you before the sun sets on the third day, you'll remain human, permanently, but if she doesn't, you turn back into a merman, and you belong to me.” Ursul said sinisterly.

“No Aaron!” Sebastian and Flounder yelled but they are both silenced by Flotsam and Jetsam.

“Have we got a deal?” Ursul asked.

“If I become human, I'll never be with my father or sisters again.” Aaron said still contemplating.

“That's right. But you'll have your girl. Life's full of tough choices, innit?” Ursul said, and them he turned.

“Oh and there is one more thing. We haven't discussed the subject of payment. You can't get something for nothing, you know."

“But I don't have any…” Flotsam and Jetsam covered his mouth.

“I'm not asking much. Just a token, really, a trifle. You'll never even miss it.  What I want from you is . . . your voice.”

“My voice?” Aaron asked confused.

“You've got it, pretty boy. No more talking, singing, zip.”

“But without my voice, how can I…”

“You’ll have your looks! Your handsome face! And don't underestimate the importance of body language! Ha!”

“But [Y/n] always love it when I talk…”

URSUL:
The girls up there don't like a lot of blabber
They think a guy who gossips is a bore
Yes, on land it's much preferred
For men not to say a word
And after all, dear, what is idle prattle for?
Come on, they're not all that impressed with conversation
Proper women avoid it when they can
But they dote and swoon and fawn
On a man who's withdrawn
It's he who holds his tongue who gets his girl
Come on, you poor unfortunate soul
Go ahead! Make your choice!
I'm a very busy guy, and I haven't got all day
It won't cost much
Just your voice!
You poor unfortunate soul
It's sad, but true
If you want to cross a bridge, my dear
You've got to pay the toll
Take a gulp and take a breath
And go ahead and sign the scroll!
Flotsam, Jetsam, now I've got him, boys
The boss is on a roll
This poor unfortunate soul.

Aaron signs the contract and Ursul laughs maniacally. Then he starts conjuring.

URSUL:
Beluga, sevruga, come winds of the Caspian Sea.
Larengix glaucitis, et max laryngitis,
La voce to me!
Now . . . sing!

Aaron starts vocalizing a melody.

“Keep singing!” Ursul said and giant magical hands reach out and take Aaron’s voice, bringing it back to Ursul who laughs as he puts it inside a necklace.

A bubble surrounds Aaron and his fins change into legs. The bubble bursts and he starts drowning.

Flounder and Sebastian rush up to him and swim him up to the surface.
