They got married quickly in a ceremony at their house. Steve gave her away and all 4 kids were in the ceremony.
Life had its bumps and bruises from time to time and they had a few big fights but they were tighter than welded steel. Never stayed mad for longer than a night.
A few years after they married the gartrells were murdered and all assets went to Kyle and Lacie. Mules sold everything for them. The kids wanted nothing to do with their grandparents. They were set for university or college. They never caught the killers. The police figured it was a home invasion gone wrong.
The kids are all super good kids. Great grades in school. They follow their uncles at construction sites and are fast learners. They build their brother and sister a tree house by themselves and it was beautiful.
