•Two Days To Competition•

We get back home from school and I notice something strange, the dance bags are not here and Mommy isn't on a hurry. Are we going to dance?

"When are we going to dance?" Kenzie asks.

"Girls, you're not going to dance today." Mommy answers walking to the kitchen.

Maddie run after her and Kenzie and I sit on the couch.

"Mom, I wanna dance!"

"Maddie, we're not going, you're not going."

Maddie comes back to the living room.

"Disney or Nick?" I ask as I hold the TV remote.

"Disney!" Kenzie exclaims.

"Good for me." Maddie agrees as she sits between the two of us.

I turn the TV on and we start watching Disney Channel for a while.

•One Day To Competition•

My sisters and I were all sitting in the trunk of the car waiting for Mommy to finish talking with Miss Abby. There was a little solo drama, Miss Abby wanted Maddie to do a solo but Mommy didn't want Maddie to do it because of the moms, and all that stuff.

Kenzie was playing some Subway Surfers on her tablet, Maddie was texting someone, and I was just laying in the trunk.

"I'm here." We hear Mommy say and we all look over to her.

We all get in the car and start our way back home.

Twelve hours later, we were watching Chloe perform her solo.

Can you leave a light on for me
The spaces solidify
Sleeping with your eyes wide open
As black as the darkest sky

Can you feel the whole world shaking
Running but your lungs are aching
Can you feel the whole world shaking
I’m breaking inside

Don’t believe the lies

Chloe's solo was amazing, but she was going up against Justice, and he's a boy. You know what that means, favoritism. After he performs his solo, it was time for the group.

"Judges, next is number 250, 'Taken'." The announcer says and the girls go on stage.

It'll take you over
And seize your breath
You soon discover
Your one regret

I don't wanna face reality
Something tells me you're unsure
Can I choose you with no guarantee
Why do I feel insecure

"Great girls!" Kenzie yells as the girls walk off stage.

"Kenz, chill!" Paige laughs.

"Number 290, 'My Hair Like This'." The announcer says and the Candy Apples dancers go on stage.

"What kind of name is that?" I ask.

"It's probably about Cathy's hair." Paige comments and the three of us laugh.

My hair like this
I like my hair like this
I like my hair like this
I like my hair like this
I like my hair -

I walk and go, I walk it down
And daddy like it when I whip it all around
And when he's on, then I go down
He poses back so it fits him like a crown

"Vivi the human prop, part something." Kenzie says.

"We could be in the group dance every week if we were a human prop." I tell Kenzie.

Soon, it was time for awards, and the duet was first, the group was also first, but Chloe was second. Miss Abby didn't get her clean sweep today either, and she's going to blame poor Chloe.
