"I don't know why I keep letting you drag me into this shit." Cole groans.

"Look, you were the one that said you were sick and tired of people making fun of you because you're scared of ducks. So...being the amazing girlfriend I am, I will help you face your fear." I say as I practically drag him towards the pond.

"There are so many other things you could do for me that will make you an even better girlfriend." He smirks while trying to pull me back towards the car.

"Cole! Stop being a horny teenage boy for once in your life and face your fear!" I yell.

"No!"

"Yes!"

"NO!"

"If you don't come with me...I'll break up with you," I say.

He freezes before glaring at me.

"You wouldn't."

"Oh, I would."

"Bullshit, you love being with me."

"True, but I would also love to have a boyfriend who isn't afraid of fluffy yellow birds."

"That- that was cold babe."

"I can be way colder."

He huffs before finally giving in and following me towards the pond.

"See! Look how many kids are feeding the ducks," I say while pointing at a few of the kids.

"Those kids don't know what the ducks will do as soon as they run out of bread." He scoffs.

God, this is gonna be harder than I thought.

I walk us to the edge of the pond and pull out a loaf of bread I brought with us.

I hand him a piece of bread which he hesitantly takes.

I whistle causing some of the ducks to start walking toward us.

I break up the slice of bread and hold a piece in the palm of my hand.

One duck begins waddling over to me and I hear Cole's breath hitch.

The duck quickly leans down and eats the piece of bread in my hand before waddling away.

"See? Easy." I say.

"Easy." He mocks.

I groan before holding out his palm and putting a piece of bread on it.

His eyes shut tightly and he stops breathing.

A baby duck begins waddling over so I push his hand down to the ground.

The duck looks hesitantly at the bread before climbing onto Cole's hand and eating the piece of bread.

"Open your eyes babe," I whisper.
