Done in twos

Things are done in twos, it's a well-known fact,

From hearts, and hands, and even a pair of socks,

For things are made for pairs, like a couple of glasses,

Or a table for two, with no extra empty spaces,

But there's always a third wheel, a lonely one,

In the shadow of pairs, the one that's left outside,

It's a person, that's often overlooked,

But they're still a part of life, and they matter, just as others,

For the third wheel, they have their place,

In our life, and in our world,

For it's in our diversity, that we find our grace,

It's in our differences, that we understand the value of the whole

So let's not forget the lonely ones, in the corner of the room,

For we're all a part of life, each playing a role,

Let's embrace each other, with love and with compassion,

For it's in love, that we find our compassion.
