We leaped into action. Austin and Luke went and alerted all the warriors to get ready and in position while Alice and I went to bring the mothers and their pups into the basement.

"Luna I'm scared," a little boy cried.

I crouched down to his level and hugged him. "You and everyone else are going to be fine. The bad guys won't be able to get in. Promise me you are going to stay in there and make sure no one gets out."

The little boy nodded and held up his pinky. I smiled and linked my pink with his.

He leaned up to kiss my cheek and went over to his mother who was waiting for him by the door. She nodded to me and walked down the stairs with the little boy in tow. Once I pulled down the lever that secures the door, I followed Alice outside.

Warriors in their positions were tense, ready to battle and protect their loved ones. Some shifted, while others stayed in their human form.

Some warriors pushed ten gigantic bins out. Where they got the gigantic bins I have no clue. We decided that we can all roll ourselves in salt since they're harder to get out of our fur.

The rest of the warriors shifted and jumped into the bins, rolled around, then jumped back out.

Austin walked out of the pack house with Liam, Vincent, and his two brothers behind him. The hunters were armed with a different variety of weapons.

"Hey, guys what did I miss?" Liam said walking over to us.

I rolled my eyes, "how can you be this happy when we're literally about to go into battle?"

He shrugged, "Doesn't hurt to think positively."

I gave him a look and turned to Josh as he walked up to us. I decided to shift into my fox first while Josh shifts into his wolf. We'll shift into our dragons as a last resort.

Once we made sure we secured the pack house, I joined Austin in the front of the warriors. He was giving out last minute instructions to them when we heard it. Footsteps. A lot of footsteps. I growled into the forest while everyone tensed.

A figure with a black cloak stepped out of the forest. I recognized him as the one who kidnapped me a few weeks ago. I snarled at him and was about to take a step forward until Austin nudged me back.

"Give us the girl and we'll leave you and your park unharmed," he said. His voice sounded like how nails on metal would sound like.

Austin shifted back into his human form and growled at him, "Who are you talking about?"

The figure lifted a clawed hand towards me. Austin growled at him. "Why do you want her?"

The figure laughed darkly and lifted his hand to take off his hood. Once off, he lifted up his head and we gaped.

Unlike the other half-demons, he had a human face but the rest of his body was like a serpent, patched of scales covered his arms and legs. "To make more hybrids of course." With that, he lifted his hand towards us and a swarm of demons erupted from the forest.

Attack! We charged forward. I leapt towards a demon that was heading for me. I raked my claws across her face making her stumble. However, she recovered and tried to jump on my back but I twisted out of the way just in time. I grabbed her throat and bit down hard, breaking her neck.

A heavy weight landed on me but it scrambled off with a shriek as the salt from my fur burnt him. I smirked and jumped on him, twisting his arm. He yelled and swiped at me with a clawed hand, which I failed to duck out in time. It sank into my shoulder and the pain intensified as he gripped harder.
