We sat by the fire
And I wondered how you perfectly resembled it
You were just enough to give me warmth
Or if you wished
You could burn me to ashes
You could dance around my pale body
Glorifying your golden sparks of deadly flames
We once sat by the ocean
You were akin to it too
You could quench my never ending thirst
Or if you wished
You could drown me
Until every ounce of air left my lungs
And water filled it with suffocation
And I couldn't breathe no more
You are like a strange intoxication
That held me captive
Kept me alive
But safely kept the ability to kill me
Enclosed in your hands
