13. Midnight Ballads

The dying of light
Is surely beautiful to watch
The stars murmur a cadence tune
And the moon sings
A ballad of life, a ballad of flaw
A crepuscular light fills the sky
Against the raging darkness
And the words inside me
Beg to come out
They beg to be bled
On the rough empty sheets
I stain the paper
With a shade of me
A hue of you
For you are all I think about
And these words are created from
The thought of loving you
The thought of being shattered by you
Your thoughts force me
To take a pen on my hand
To be lost in the labyrinth
Of my tired heart
Stars can't shine without darkness
And my mind can't stay sane
Without you
