15. The Healing Lustre

We met in a dark reality
Where light was rare
Only the molten-polar stars furnished lustre
We were two lost souls
Left to wither in the cold
With wounds and scars
But we saw beneath the skin
And kissed our cicatrices
To keep warm, to feel better
We caressed our swollen hearts
With faint breathes leaving our mouth
We ran our hands over our bruised body
To limn our disoriented shapes
We loved each other with words
With poetry and kisses
We saw the dusted glitters
Under the luminous navy sky
As they were our only beacon of hope
We healed ourselves
And paved a radiant path,
Closing the distance between our hearts
With the light of the dim twilight
We eliminated the sad darkness
Within us
