Gunshots in the dead of night
Blaze of fire, a sharp tongued crack
Somewhere in counterpoint a rifle replies
With deadly intent
A man falls and diesAgain the night falls still and quiet
A breathless wind under stars so bright

Murdering neighbours with conscience at easeLet us not look back with shame
But forward to light with hopes aflame
The light of peace and end of suffering
Pray, let their deaths not be in vainGornji Vakuf
