WE LEFT THE hospital after awhile when my dad and Ibrahim had their talk,I could see how uncomfortable Ibrahim is and I was curious and scared of what my dad might have told him
We greeted everyone goodbye promising to come visit soon,we entered the car and started driving slowly out of the hospital and decided to ask the question that have been bothering me
"What's wrong with you?"I asked
"Nothing"he replied smiling at me
"What did my dad tell you"I asked still not convinced "because you look tensed"
"Do I?"he laughs "stop worrying yourself Aishah I am fine" he says avoiding my question and decided to let it be till we reach the house
"Thanks for taking me there it means a lot to me"
"Oh you're welcome"he replied
"How can I ever repay you I'm glad really"I smiled at him
"You can actually repay me"
"Seriously?"my jaw almost dropped,I thought he was going to brush it off but he sounds like Abubakar when we just knew each other
No wonder they're best friends
"What do you want?"I asked acting like a professional
"We can be friends,a real friend"he says
"That will not be good before the divorce"
"What are you afraid of"he laughs "it doesn't matter whether we are divorcing or not we can actually become good friends and even when we get divorced we can help eachother"he says
"Well it's not bad, friends it is"I replied and he smiles
"Definitely"
We finally reach home and we entered the house,I was hungry and it was visible that Ibrahim is hungry too
"What do you want to eat?"I asked him
"Anything I'm famished"
"Ok"I replied and went straight to my room
I changed my wear to a simple dark blue tight jeans trouser and a handless top making my way to the kitchen,I decided to prepare potato porridge,I started peeling the potato when Ibrahim suddenly enters the kitchen wearing a jogger and a white singlet that fits his body like next skin revealing his abs, I gulped and averted my gaze from him
"I want to help you know we have a dinner to attend today"he said
"Oh my God I totally forgot,we should prepare something light and eat later at your home"I replied
"What do you suggest?"
"I have no idea"
"Don't do anything I will be back in a jiffy"he says and left the kitchen
I put the potatoes back and throw away the few I already peeled and arrange every other things in the kitchen before going to sit at the sitting room,I tune on the television sitting down comfortably and started watching a movie in African magic Hausa channel
