WE KISSED AGAIN and started laughing, Haqam entwined out hands and I look up at him smiling
"I should go back to Zaria"I said and Haqam shot me a worried look
"Why?"he asked like I was about running away
"Calm down"I said chuckling "I should probably get a proper divorce with Ibrahim since we were legally married"I said and he nodded in understanding
"I will go back with you"
"Thank you"I said smiling "who was that girl?"I asked
"Still on your mind?"he said laughing "she's no one actually,I did that to see if my feelings is one sided"he said and I hit him
"So it was planned Haqam! Ya Allah! And I fell for it"I said and he laughed and I joined too
We decided to leave the bathroom opening the door to meet an angry looking mom, I gulped immediately looking at Haqam and I can see how scared he is too,we have fooled mom for the past three years plus now and I know if she heard everything we said she will definitely be angry with us
"Mind explaining everything I heard when the both of you were in the bathroom?"she asked and my soul almost left my body,I knew I already lost one of the souls that loves me dearly
"Mom..."I begin in small voice
"Don't mom me!"she yelled and I flinched "I can't believe the both of you have been fooling me for almost four years now,I thought you guys were in love and I was so happy about that not minding the fact you are not a Yoruba girl,Aishah how can you do this to me? Haqam how dare you!"she said looking pissed and the fact is I have never seen mom so angry
"Mom I'm sorry!"I begged kneeling down crying
"Mom please listen,I know what I did is wrong but that was the only option then please mom listen"I begged
"You better have something tangible to say if not I will never forgive you two"she said and my mind calm down a little,thank God she was ready to listen to what we had to say
I look at Haqam and he helped me up entwining our hands again
"Meet me in my room"mom said walking away and I look at Haqam who immediately wrapped his hands around my waist
"What am I going to do now?"I said as a tear escaped my eyes,Haqam wiped it off
"Don't be scared,she won't be so angry when she found out what happened"Haqam said and I shook my head in disagreement
"That's not it Haqam it's about the fact if she found out I can't be a mother on my own anymore, how's she going to take it I'm sure she won't want us together again,no parent wouldn't want to hold their grandchildren"I said and broke into tears
"Hey Aishah! Stop it,what matters is I love you and I love you more than life itself and my parents can't come between us,if they are not cool with that then we will leave,I don't mind if they disown me"Haqam said and I look at him with love and adoration,I never believed in my life a man will be ready to give his all for me
