She didn't want another day.
All she ever wanted
was for the day
to stand still
so she could be
with him forever
and never lose her grip,
hugging him tight
around his shoulders.
Her son was dying
and she wanted
to never forget
his precious smile,
as he looked up
into her eyes.
Another day
would never...
...come.
