Hi, I am a girl with two older brothers and two younger twin brothers. No, I'm dead serious. When the #olderbrother trend blew up, of course, I was right there reading every book, but then people started requesting that I write my own version of this trend -- as I am literally living a real-life version of those cliche books, minus the mafia/abuse/custody stuff.
I should also say that this is not my usual genre. I've never written teen fiction/mystery before, I always stuck with a mix of fantasy, but I'm willing to give this a go. Please be kind to me, I have anxiety ... nah, just kidding. I don't care if you hate, it's my book, not yours.
So, since this is a popular trend, and I hate cliches, you will not encounter any of the following: older brother custody over the sister, long-lost family member, stupid rules (hated those so much), physical abuse, or any rich mansion stuff.
What you can expect to encounter in this book is: mostly realistic brother behavior (though some scenes may be unrealistic for the sake of character development), siblings working as adults to provide for each other, arguments, fights from both sides, and unhealed trauma as my brothers don't seem to have any emotional depth, besides anger or ignoring people.
There is not any romance in this book. It is about healing sibling bonds.
That being said, there will be some slight cliches. I couldn't avoid them, so hopefully, it doesn't bore you to death. I am going to try to put my own twist on this book and I have my fingers crossed that it doesn't come out too horrible.
