Lodging house Deputy Tim Donovan, 38, and John Evans, 35, the Watchman, were concerned. Tim had short, black hair, brown eyes, and tall; John Evans, was short.
They both wore a white colored shirt, brown colored breeches, and brown colored boots. And they had long sideburns on their rugged faces.
"Where's Annie?", Tim asked.
"Dunno. I thought she was workin' in Whitechapel", answered John, as they both smoked pipes. A cold breeze wafted from the North.
"Wot's the time?", Tim enquired.
"1.45 am", said John.
"Let's...", Tim begun, then they saw heard a scream. Then they saw Inspector Joseph Luniss Chandler, 29, who was blowing his whistle.
"MURDER! MURDER! MURDER!", he yelled.
And then all hell broke loose.
