Having enough of the ladies, Meera with a tray of empty juice glasses barged into the kitchen "I am done with these ladies."

All amused by her daughter, Sheetal solely asked while dishing out lunch on a plate "What happened?"

"Aren't they suppose to go now?" She stated, as a matter of fact, her hands resting on her hips "The rituals are already done and completed an hour ago but they all are sitting and chatting outside like they are planning to camp here all night. I'm damn tired of entertaining their orders of getting them this and that. Can't you just shoo them?"

"Meera!" Chiding at her softly with all amusement, Sheetal turned to face her grumpy daughter "They all are our guests, beta. So we are ought to entertain them. And no, we can't shoo them."

"But they are too loud." Meera whined throwing her hand in annoyance only for Sheetal to berate her again "Stop whining like a kid and take this plate to your brother. They must be starving. And make sure they eat everything on the plate."

"Fine." Frowning at her mother with puckered lips, Meera took the plate and pivoted over muttering "At a time she calls me a kid but also scolds me for being one. Tch! Such a hypocrite."

It's been a moment since Nandini couldn't find herself looking away from the ring which he made her wear. To say she wasn't touched by him would be underestimating. She was flying over the moon.

After all, whatever happened between them, she didn't expect he would want to be around her even for a while. However, being proven wrong made her day happen.

Clicking out upon the knock on the door, Nandini found Meera walking inside with a plate of food for them "Why are you not changed yet? I bet you must be tired in that saree. I did tell maa to get you something in light and fancy but she argued how new brides are supposed to be all glowing and shimmering."

Nandini could just smile and sit where Meera kept the plate for her to eat but seeing her not touching the food made Meera raise her eyebrows "Are you not going to eat?"

"I'll once your brother comes. He must be starving too." A playful grin danced on her face as soon Nandini answered her "Ah! I see. Going all husband and wife, eh?"

Flustered by her comment, Nandini smiled reluctantly directing her gaze anywhere but Meera who couldn't stop going all awe and impressed by stifling her grin.
Whereas Nandini herself couldn't find herself blushing. Though they had been married for years now it still felt surreal to her.

His wife.

With the thought in their mind, Nandini suddenly took notice of the room "There use to be a canvas in the room."

"Yes, and it's still there." Meera replied "Since you were to live with bhaiya, Maa wanted bhaiya to shift to the other room so that you could get spacious accommodation. But he is obsessed with this four wall refused and instead shifted his 'artistry' stuff to the other room. He was even adamant about not painting the walls but Maa somehow convinced and coaxed him by using 'The Nandini' spell. That's how well you charm him."

Neither denying nor agreeing, Nandini just kept listening to Meera chirp. Nandini knew how it's not just a four-wall room but a comforter which has known, seen and embraced Manik in all his form.

If it were for his former self, she strongly believes he would have even thought of shifting his canvas out of the room.
It was the only sole way he could pour his heart out.

If it were to ask someone about Manik, then it could not be anyone better than the very room which has seen him from rising to being demolished in its warmth.
